We focus on stacks that are solid for small-field and SE as well as overlooked spots for large-field GPPs, and we discuss players that have good past history vs. the pitchers they’re facing. FIVE DFS MLB Stacks
Atlanta Braves
Peter Lambert has been solid enough, so I’m not looking at this as some obvious matchup to attack. But Atlanta has plenty of offensive upside, and they’re getting close to clinching the NL East, so I don’t mind having some shares here. If the Braves are still playing with plenty of urgency and Lambert gives them some opportunities, this lineup can do some damage. A nice tournament spot.

San Diego Padres
The Padres are back home after coming out of the altitude, but I’m not ready to jump off them. They’ve been hot, and they were playing well before going to Colorado, so I don’t think this is simply a Coors-driven hot streak. Tyler Phillips isn’t someone who scares me enough to avoid the matchup, either. I like keeping some Padres exposure here and seeing if the hot bats can keep rolling.
Baltimore Orioles
Dustin May is volatile, and so are the Orioles, so this feels like a pretty natural tournament combination. Baltimore can certainly disappear for nine innings, but they also have enough power to put up a huge number when things break right. On a large slate, I don’t mind throwing a sprinkle of Orioles into the mix and hoping we get the good version of this offense.

Minnesota Twins
How do you not stack against a starter with a 6.10 ERA? Grayson Rodriguez has been giving up too much damage to make me want to stay away, and Minnesota has enough offensive upside to take advantage if he’s not sharp. The Twins aren’t always the most popular offense, which makes this even more appealing in tournaments. I’m definitely taking some shots here.
Seattle Mariners
Another starter with a 6+ ERA, and this time we get the added bonus of playing in the altitude. Gabriel Hughes has a tough assignment, and Seattle has plenty of bats capable of taking advantage if he struggles. The combination of the matchup and environment gives the Mariners a pretty big ceiling. I don’t mind getting overweight here in tournaments.
