This article focuses primarily on 3-Man snake draft strategy. Reason being is that you can easily apply this information to H2H as well as widen up to 4-Man contests, which is the average size of the daily GPPs. I’m going to break down what I saw in 20-30 drafts today and how we can exploit our opponents using our tools over on DFS Army.
Quick Trends (20 game sample)
- First pick went to Ramirez who has the red hot bat lately. I don’t expect to see him cool off tonight either.
- First round picks: Verlander was a close second. Betts, Goldschmidt, Peralta, and Lindor rounded out the other picks.
- Chalk: Everyone above plus Paxton, Stanton, Martinez, and Acuna. 60% chalk today means the slate is wide open outside the core. The third pitching option split pretty evenly between two other pitchers. More than the usual amount of offenses were targeting tonight. We’ll talk more about it in slack this afternoon.

Draft Projections & Rankings
The default draft rankings by position in Draft for their top positions. While most of these would be solid plays, they are vastly different than our projections and grades we developed in house at DFS Army where take into account many different metrics that these do not. Combining our brand new Starting Lineups Page, Domination Station, Articles, and research station, you can quickly see where some players in absolute smash spots should be drafted higher than what’s on this list.

Strategy
- Pitching: Another candidate to wait until the end tonight. Although ti didn’t workout too well last night with Servino. He looked a little off yesterday.
- hitting: You’ve got mashers all over the place with Boston back in the mix. It’s more of who do you want vs. needing a specific position strategy today.
Player spotlight: Everyday we high-light one player that went undrafted. Feeling contrarian tonight? Look no further than Justin Turner. Trending wOBA, ISO, and hard contact.
