This article focuses primarily on 3-Man snake draft strategy. Reason being is that you can easily apply this information to H2H as well as widen up to 4-Man contests, which is the average size of the daily GPPs. I’m going to break down what I saw in 20-30 drafts today and how we can exploit our opponents using our tools over on DFS Army.
Quick Trends (20 game sample)
- With a lot of directions to go with 9 team totals over 5 runs tonight, the overall decision was Judge at #1. With a combined wOBA+ISO of .930 over the last 7 games, I can see why.
- Rounding out your first round picks are Lindor, Arenado, Grienke, Hicks, and Blackmon
- Chalk of the night: Judge, Lindor, Arenado, Grienke, Hicks, Blackmon, Votto, and Trout. 53% chalk today is indicative of a lot of really good bats on a bunch of different teams.

Draft Projections & Rankings
The default draft rankings by position in Draft for their top positions. While most of these would be solid plays, they are vastly different than our projections and grades we developed in house at DFS Army where take into account many different metrics that these do not. Combining our brand new Starting Lineups Page, Domination Station, Articles, and research station, you can quickly see where some players in absolute smash spots should be drafted higher than what’s on this list.

Strategy
- There’s no compelling reason to go pitchers earlier than last unless you really want one. With Kershaw having an off season, I’m not seeing the need to even go to him tonight. He was on a pitch count last time out and there’s been no noise that’s changing.
- Hitter wise, grab at least one bat form Coors. Being in Denver, it’s hot and windy today. I can see this game going ham pretty easily.
- A case for the forgotten tonight: Nelson Cruz. He comes in at a 94.8 DFS Army grade tonight and sports solid numbers across the board. He was 100% ignored in my drafts with all the options tonight, but I’d expect him to put some points up on the board.
