This article focuses primarily on 3-Man snake draft strategy. Reason being is that you can easily apply this information to H2H as well as widen up to 4-Man contests, which is the average size of the daily GPPs. I’m going to break down what I saw in 20-30 drafts today and how we can exploit our opponents using our tools over on DFS Army.
Quick Trends (20 game sample)
- Sunday slate has 15 games, but that didn’t stop people from Grabbing Cole as their #1 player on the slate. With so many different hitting options you can go with and over 54 different players popping above 80 on our grading system, I can see why you would grab Cole first.
- Rounding out your first round choices were Sale, Arenado, Trout, and Martinez.
- 100% chalk today are Cole, Sale, Arenado, Trout, Martinez, Story, Rosario, Betts, Judge, Rameriez, and Betts. 11/15 or 73% of all players made the list today leaving some wiggle room to move off the heavy chalk. Also note there were two other players in the 90% ownership range we’ll talk about in Slack today.

Draft Projections & Rankings
The default draft rankings by position in Draft for their top positions. While most of these would be solid plays, they are vastly different than our projections and grades we developed in house at DFS Army where take into account many different metrics that these do not. Combining our brand new Starting Lineups Page, Domination Station, Articles, and research station, you can quickly see where some players in absolute smash spots should be drafted higher than what’s on this list.

Strategy
- There isn’t a need to grab any position first today. Even pitching. There are at least 4 different pitchers that could be serviceable on Draft today. That being said, I grabbed plenty of shares early on of Cole and Sale myself.
- Realmuto or to not Realmuto seemed to be the question of the day on Draft.

- Bour batting clean up has similar numbers and can be a solid pivot in a pick’em situation today in Coors if you’re looking to get exposure to that game.
I’ll be posting my personal recommendations and comparisons to our projections in our Premium Slack services before lock.
