Draft: MLB Main Slate notes

Here’s some quick notes based on twenty (20) 3-Man contests for the Main slate tonight to keep in mind:

  • Blackman, Arenado, Hosmer, Altuve, Cron, and Springer went un-drafted unless I picked them up. This means you can leave them for late round pick ups
  • Mookie Betts went #1 overall in every single draft, except the 5 I was the 1st pick. JD went in the second round most often.

  • Carrasco went in the first round in 19 out of 20 drafts
  • Pollock and Lindor were drafted by the end of the second round 100% of the time
  • Bregman, Olsen, and Story completely ignored in 100% of drafts. The are rated greater than 90 for DFSA Grades
  • Pollock, Ramierez, Trout, Brantley, Betts, Martinez, Lindor, Votto, and Dozier were drafted 100% of the time.

Learn to Play Draft — Strategy Primer 2018 for Draft MLB DFS

Strategy:

  • There are more than enough big bats to go around in 3 man. I don’t mind reaching for Carrasco tonight.
  • Your top priority targets should be Pollock, Ramierez, Trout, Brantley, Betts, Martinez, Lindor, Votto, and Dozier since they were drafted 100% of the time. These are in no particular order.
  • There are enough bats with a DFSA grade above 80 to diversify at least one spot to hedge.
  • Assuming he plays, Springer was my nearly all in guy. He’s on the 400/200 list (VIP only sheet), top-rated by our metrics, and was ignored by everyone because of the injury on Saturday.
