Once again we are back with the cheaper set of value plays for both sites on this holiday weekend. Hopefully, none of you are at work today and will hammer this slate with activity.
Remember, this list is not necessarily the BEST plays of the day. It’s the underpriced plays. I look at consensus projections and cross-reference them with salary rankings to see where there might be discrepancies between the two. Some players are overpriced for their matchups, some are underpriced. We focus on the underpriced because it allows us to pay up later or simply pick players that should outperform their salary based expectation for the day. Do this often enough, and do it correctly, and you find success. It’s that simple.
For what it’s worth, I rarely play straight off this list. I target pitchers and use this list more for grabbing value, not grabbing stud players.
