Welcome back to another VIP edition of underpriced players for the day.  If you want game by game analysis, you tune into the podcast or Chin Music.  If you want a straight list of players in good spots for less than they should cost, you look here.  If you want the best players for the slate, you look for Boomer’s Bombers cheatsheets on the website, too.  VIPs get access to all these articles and tools.  It pays to be a VIP!

Remember, this is NOT the best players at each position.  This list is to identify great value plays and perhaps open your eyes to players you might otherwise be overlooking.  You won’t likely ever see a Coors player in here because their salaries don’t indicate value when playing in Coors.  You won’t often find a stud in here because they are priced accordingly.  Lately, FanDuel has been discounting the heck out of guys facing aces.  Those players you will find on this list quite often, but it doesn’t mean they are great plays.  The goal here is to find guys primed to have good nights or guys primed to come out of slumps, but with any list some common sense needs to be applied.

SPLIT SLATE (7 EARLY, 8 MAIN) – PLEASE NOTE START TIMES!

Here’s quickly how I’ve been using this list:  I will make note of which teams are tending to pop up on it.  For example, Chicago White Sox.  I will verify they are facing a pitcher worthy of targeting.  I then do my other research and see if it keeps pointing me back here.  I will circle players on this list that become elite plays when verified by other research (cheatsheets, articles, etc) and I will then prioritize putting them in lineups.  This isn’t a straight player picks list.  It’s an identifier to run other research against, but it has found some crazy good plays lately that I would have never found on my own.  It has also forced me to look deeper into players when I see someone I think is in a bad matchup.  I run around trying to shoot him down and just can’t.  I play him, and he performs.  This list is weird that way.
