Correlated Snipe #1 – Matthew Tkachuk – Carter Verhaeghe

The Panthers are in San Jose to take on the abysmal Sharks. The Sharks can have a hot goaltending game every once in a while with Mackenzie Blackwood, but we are nowhere near worried about that. The Sharks defense is the worst in the league, and Florida is hot. Matthew Tkachuk is on a 6 game point streak, and in general loves to shoot pucks. Verhaeghe is a guy that is starting to score, and is a streaky goal scorer, which is why we are gambling on this spot here. Florida is hot, the Sharks are terrible, and we are taking the best scorers and top powerplay guys playing in this situation; pretty simple concept.

Correlated Snipe #2 – Roope Hintz – Jason Robertson – Joe Pavelski
Dallas at home is always a decent bet, and they are heating up. Robertson had his first 3 point game of the season last game, and he is a guy that can snowball quickly. Also, with their slow start they are still fairly cheap, which helps us get decent other players in our lineup as well. Arizona is an average team across the board, and Dallas is not. Great analysis, I know, but we simplify things around here. Heiskanen is also viable in Dallas stacks, because he quarterbacks the powerplay, and plays tons and tons of minutes.
Grinder #1 – Josh Anderson – Anderson is playing in a top 6 forward role. In fact he played on the top line and powerplay unit last game. Anderson is at home, and loves to shoot pucks, which is what we’re looking for.
Grinder #2 – Rasmus Sandin – He is playing over 25 minutes a game, and has the shot block bonus in each of his last 4 games. Sandin is just a great cheap defenseman with a high floor.
