Studs and Stacks: NHL Building Blocks for DraftKings and FanDuel - November 4

NHL Building Blocks for November 4

In this article, we spotlight today’s top NHL DFS studs and stack recommendations, focusing on high-upside players and synergistic line combinations that can elevate your lineups. Whether you’re targeting cash games or GPPs, these picks are designed to maximize value and exposure. Let’s dive into the matchups and identify the key players to target.

SKATERS
Center: Macklin Celebrini
Celebrini has 16 points (five goals and 11 assists) through 14 games, along with 54 shots on goal. The recent scoring has slowed, with just one assist over his last three games and no points in either of San Jose’s last two, but he’s still averaging more than 22 minutes per night. The matchup with Los Angeles offers a chance to get back on track, and his shot volume keeps the ceiling high.
Other: Tage Thompson, Connor Bedard

Winger: Matthew Tkachuk
Tkachuk has been producing more as a playmaker than a goal scorer, totaling 21 points (four goals and 17 assists) through 15 games. He has six points over his last five, and Chicago is a terrific matchup for Florida’s offense. The Blackhawks have allowed 3.9 goals per game, second-most in the league, giving Tkachuk and the Panthers a chance to put up some numbers.
Other: Drake Batherson, Will Smith

Defense: Rasmus Dahlin
Dahlin has nine points (two goals and seven assists) through 11 games, with seven of those points coming in his last seven appearances. He’s averaging nearly 25 minutes per game and continues to handle a major role in all situations. Ottawa has some dangerous offensive weapons, but Dahlin’s workload and ability to contribute in multiple categories make him an appealing defenseman option.
Other: Seth Jones, Jake Sanderson

Goalie: Jacob Markstrom
Markstrom has a 2.50 GAA and .890 save percentage through seven appearances, so the season-long numbers haven’t been particularly impressive. He did allow four goals in his most recent start against Detroit, although Chicago presents a much more favorable matchup. The Blackhawks are averaging just 2.2 goals per game, 31st in the league. That gives him a strong opportunity for a bounceback performance, with Florida also providing good win potential.
Other: Colten Ellis, Phillip Grubauer

Value: Berkly Catton
Catton has been a productive young player for Seattle, recording 11 points (four goals and seven assists) through 14 games. He’s averaging just over 15 minutes per night, but his offensive involvement has been encouraging, with points coming through both his finishing and playmaking. Calgary is next, and Catton is an interesting value option if his salary reflects his developing role.
Other: Roman Kantserov, Stephen Halladay

STACKS
Full: SJ (Celebrini-Smith-Stenberg)
Celebrini, Smith and Stenberg bring together three of San Jose’s most talented young offensive players. Celebrini leads the group with 16 points, while Smith has 10 points (six goals and four assists) and Stenberg has nine (three goals and six assists). The recent results haven’t been great, with San Jose managing just one goal in each of its last two games, but this trio has the skill to turn things around against Los Angeles. Celebrini’s heavy workload and the scoring ability of Smith and Stenberg give the stack plenty of upside.
Other: FLA (M. Tkachuk-B. Tkachuk-Bennett), BUF (Thompson-Dahlin-Doan)

Mini: OTT (Stutzle-Cozens)
Cozens has caught fire recently, recording five points (three goals and two assists) over his last three games, including a two-goal, three-point performance against Los Angeles. Stutzle has been the steadier producer with 21 points on the season, and the two offer a nice combination of playmaking and finishing. Buffalo has been giving up goals, making this a worthwhile pairing to target, particularly with Cozens coming off a productive stretch.
Other: FLA (Reinhart-Verhaeghe), LAK (Panarin-Kempe)
