Full Court Press:

Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides, that said, we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Steve aka @mutt_18  on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Before I get started, make sure to check out the latest new DFS website. SuperDraft is an innovative new DFS site that does not have salaries but instead uses a multiplier system and better yet, THEY HAVE LATE SWAP! Check out more on how it works below!

Full Court Press:

Washington Wizards @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Vegas Total: 232

Vegas Spread: CLE -2.0

Starting with the Wizards, they are on the 2nd half of a B2B tonight after going into OT with the Heat last night. Bradley Beal is still an elite play here, as he dropped 38 actual points last night and gets a cake matchup against a weak defensive backcourt here. Thomas Bryant is still being eased back in, but I can see him pick up some additional minutes here as Ian Mahimni played 35 minutes last night. Davis Bertans, Jordan McRae, and Ish Smith are also firmly in play for GPPs and won’t break the bank.

For the Cavs, Kevin Love sees a really good matchup here, as the Wizards really struggle against bigs, but especially ones that can stretch the floor. Tristan Thompson who has also been playing really well over the past few games and he draws a phenomenal matchup as the Wizards are near the bottom of the NBA at defending C’s and with Thomas Bryant being back he is too undersized to hang with TT. Collin Sexton and Darius Garland are both in play for GPPs. I like Garland a little more as he isn’t as scoring dependent. Cedi Osman is also in play here, as Kevin Porter has been ruled out for the next 4-6 weeks.

5-star plays: Bradley Beal, Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson

4-star plays: Collin Sexton, Darius Garland, Davis Bertans, Thomas Bryant

Deeper Value: Jordan McRae, Ish Smith, Cedi Osman

GPP Sleeper: Ish Smith

Los Angeles Lakers @ Brooklyn Nets

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

From the Lakers, it’s pretty simple, it’s LeBron James and it’s Anthony Davis. The Lakers are also on the 2nd half of a B2B, so I could also see them sitting one of LeBron or AD, more likely AD as they both played 30+ minutes last night. Kyle Kuzma will draw the start if AD sits and he’ll be a chalky, but good, value option as he’s been playing really well and see 25+ minutes off the bench either way. If Davis sits it also puts JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard both firmly in play, with my preference being Howard as he plays more minutes with AD out than McGee does. The other Lakers’ guards are all a crapshoot to figure out, so I’ll likely be avoiding it all together. But Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has been playing the most minutes. If AD does play he has a fantastic matchup against a weak Brooklyn interior.

For the Nets, Kyrie Irving has returned and is already shooting his mouth off and pissing off his teammates. However, he’s an elite play here as he is still a little underpriced, and he is matchup proof. However, with him and LeVert back that backcourt is now very crowded and limits Dinwiddie’s upside as well. Jarrett Allen has been pretty up and down over the past week or so, but I like him as a GPP option here but I have a feeling this game won’t stay close. Taurean Prince is always a GPP option at the very least due to the amount of stats he can produce across the board. There’s not much to like on this Nets team outside of Kyrie tonight.

5-star play: LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving

4-star play: Kyle Kuzma, Dwight Howard, Taurean Prince

Deeper Value: Jarrett Allen, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

GPP Sleeper: Rajon Rondo

Dallas Mavericks @ Portland Trailblazers

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

Starting with the Mavericks its pretty simple here, you play PGs against them, and we have a great one here in Luka Doncic. He should be able to smash in this matchup and is my favorite play on the night. Kristaps Porzingis is also firmly in play here, as the offense will run through the two of them. Maxi Kleber will also get a major boost here, as the Blazers are weak on their interior, and he’ll be forced to play a ton of minutes here with Powell done for the season. Delon Wright is also a deeper GPP play here on a small slate, as he should dominate usage with the 2nd unit as long as he doesn’t start.

From the Blazers, this is a spot that Damian Lillard is going to continue to be a premier play as long as CJ McCollum is out. Carmelo Anthony is also firmly in play here for GPPs, as he is a little scoring dependent but this is a matchup he can take advantage of as the Mavericks took a big hit losing Dwight Powell downlow, so it’ll likely slide Porzingis over to the 5. Hassan Whiteside is smashing everyone and gets a boost with not having to deal with Powell tonight. Anfernee Simons also makes sense for value here, especially if CJ is out again, as the Blazers traded away Bazemore. Mario Hezonja is also a deeper GPP value play as well as he’ll see more time now that Bazemore is gone.

5-star play: Luka Doncic, Damian Lillard, Hassan Whiteside

4-star play: Kristaps Porzingis, Carmelo Anthony, Max Kleber

Deeper Value: Anferenee Simons, Max Kleber

GPP Sleeper: Maxi Kleber
