SKATERS
Center: Connor McDavid
McDavid is up to 44 points (10 goals, 34 assists) and hasn’t slowed down. He put together another monster performance Thursday against Anaheim, scoring once and adding three assists while extending his point streak to 17 games. Vancouver is next, and this is an awfully difficult matchup to fade.

Winger: Cole Caufield
Caufield has found his scoring touch, with three goals and 10 shots over his last two games. He scored twice against Winnipeg before adding another goal Thursday against Utah, and now gets a Toronto matchup. He’s carrying plenty of shooting upside right now. He is also “Mr. Saturday Night” and it’s a rivalry game against the Leafs.

Defense: Cale Makar
Makar was held off the scoresheet Thursday against Nashville, but he had been rolling before that, recording seven points (one goal, six assists) over his previous three games. He’s still playing massive minutes and remains one of the best offensive defensemen on the slate.
Other: Evan Bouchard, Quinn Hughes, Mikhail Sergachev
Goalie: Pyotr Kochetkov
Kochetkov has been outstanding, entering Saturday at 10-1 with a 1.64 GAA, .922 save percentage and two shutouts. He did give up three goals in his last start against Nashville, but the season-long numbers are hard to argue with, especially in a home matchup against Chicago.
Other: Jake Oettinger, Mackenzie Blackwood, Tristan Jarry
Value: Roman Kantserov
Kantserov has scored in three straight games, including goals against Colorado, Florida and Tampa Bay. He now has seven goals and two assists through 16 games, with 27 shots on goal and two power-play goals. The matchup against Carolina is tough, but his recent scoring form makes him an interesting tournament option. He’s also developing some nice chemistry with Connor Bedard.

STACKS
Full: EDM (McDavid-Draisaitl-Bouchard)
It’s a ridiculous stat, but this trio is 1-2-3 in the league in scoring. McDavid and Draisaitl combined for three points Tuesday, with McDavid assisting on Draisaitl’s power-play goal to tie the game late. Bouchard also had a goal and an assist, giving him a point in four straight games (two goals and five assists). McDavid’s 40-point start is obviously the centerpiece, while Draisaitl and Bouchard give this stack tremendous power-play correlation. Anaheim is a good opportunity for Edmonton to get back in the win column after Tuesday’s shootout loss.

Mini: TOR (Matthews-Roslovic)
Matthews has 11 goals and 15 assists through 17 games while Roslovic has chipped in eight goals and 10 assists. The latter is also coming off a two-goal, two-assist performance against Utah, so there’s some real momentum here. I like the combination of Matthews’ elite finishing ability and Roslovic’s recent production against Montreal.
