STUDS
The Center: Tage Thompson
Buffalo’s star center leads them against a lowly Blackhawks team, and the Sabres are looking to at least keep pace with Montreal and Tampa Bay (see below) for the top spot in the Atlantic, which means the two non-division winners face each other in the first round.
The Wing: Nikita Kucherov
The Bolts are in such a good spot (see above, though they do have a game in hand on Buffalo) as they’re facing a Red Wings team that just got eliminated from the playoff picture on Saturday. Kuch sets up so great here and I think he goes off.

The Defenseman: Roman Josi
The Predators’ stud defenseman is a big reason why Nashville is in the playoff race at all, and they are in a must-win situation in each of their last two games. Love his floor and ceiling in this one at home facing a mid San Jose defense.
The Value: Vasily Podkolzin
Three goals and an assist in his last five games; Avs may not go all-out as they’ve got home ice throughout the playoffs clinched.
STACKS
The Full: TB (Kucherov-Point-Guentzel-Cirelli)
Based on the discussion earlier, I’m leaning toward the group that’s got the playoff experience.
The Mini: LA (Panarin-Kempe)
A win and they’re in: the Kings get a solid matchup tonight against Seattle, and these two have looked good together almost since the Breadman arrived in Los Angeles.
