Studs and Stacks: Building Blocks for DFS – March 24

Studs and Stacks – March 24

In this article, we spotlight today’s top NHL DFS studs and stack recommendations, focusing on high-upside players and synergistic line combinations that can elevate your lineups. Whether you’re targeting cash games or GPPs, these picks are designed to maximize value and exposure. Let’s dive into the matchups and identify the key players to target.

STUDS
The Center: Wyatt Johnston
Good spot for Johnston and the Stars tonight (Dallas is one of the biggest favorites), and he’s quickly becoming a superstar.  Tied for fourth in the league in goals and is on pace for 45, and the Devils’ defense isn’t good.

The Wing: Nikita Kucherov
At the very least, this is one of the best games to watch on the slate tonight.  Kucherov is basically matchup-proof and he may have taken over the lead for the Hart with his run over the last couple of months.  He’s got six goals and seven assists in his last five games and is streaking.  On a slate where there is basically no chalk, I love the ceiling potential he has even in a tougher matchup.

The Defenseman: Erik Karlsson
Worth riding the hot streak that Karlsson is on (five goals and five assists in his last five games) even in a really tough matchup tonight, but it’s hard to overlook him, and we know that hockey is a momentum sport.

The Value: Fraser Minten
Centering L1 with Pastrnak; Bruins have one of the better matchups tonight as well.

STACKS
The Full: BOS (Pastrnak-Lindholm-Zacha-McAvoy)
The Leafs are just an awful defense and this quartet can get after it; you can mix in Geekie and Minten as well as Khusnutdinov as secondary pieces if you want to spread out, but I’d focus on this group if I’m getting exposure to Boston (which is one of my favorite spots tonight).

The Mini: MON (Caufield-Suzuki)
Again, hockey is a momentum sport, and this duo is one of my favorite stacks any time as the entire Montreal offense flows through them.  Together they’ve got nine goals and 11 assists in their last five games.
