Studs and Stacks – March 14
In this article, we spotlight today’s top NHL DFS studs and stack recommendations, focusing on high-upside players and synergistic line combinations that can elevate your lineups. Whether you’re targeting cash games or GPPs, these picks are designed to maximize value and exposure. Let’s dive into the matchups and identify the key players to target.
STUDS
The Center: Tage Thompson
Hard to not like Thompson and the entire Sabres team in this spot: they’re the slate’s biggest favorites and they’re facing a Leafs team that’s basically done (and will be without Auston Matthews for a bit as well). He’s tied for eighth in the league in goals and is on a pace that gets him around 90 points again.
The Wing: Jason Robertson
Great spot for Robertson tonight against a Wings team that is struggling in March (as usual), and the Stars are about as hot as you can get. Floor is always great (seventh in the league in shots) and the ceiling is there as well (fifth in goals and on a pace for right around 100 points).

Mar 6, 2025; Dallas, Texas, USA; Dallas Stars left wing Jason Robertson (21) and center Matt Duchene (95) and center Roope Hintz (24) and defenseman Thomas Harley (55) celebrates after Robertson scores the game winning goal the Calgary Flames during the overtime period at the American Airlines Center. The Defenseman: Lane Hutson
He’s got a goal and six assists during a five-game point streak and is tied for third among defensemen in scoring; the Canadiens are at home against the Sharks, which is a great game environment for both sides, but especially for a ceiling performance for Montreal.
The Value: Jake Evans
Three goals and four assists during a six-game point streak.
STACKS
The Full: DAL (Robertson-Johnston-Duchene-Benn)
Dallas has an outside shot at catching the Avs for the top spot in the West, and wins in spots like this would go a long way toward that; the Wings are stumbling and are not the best team defensively, and the scoring for the Stars is condensed to these four (you can mix in Heiskanen as well). Eleven goals and 19 assists between this quartet over their last four games.
The Mini: MON (Caufield-Suzuki)
One of my favorite mini stacks on most slates, and this spot is really nice for them as San Jose’s defense isn’t that good (you can consider a game stack as well). Both are averaging over a point per game; Suzuki has an outside shot at 100 points and Caufield is third in the league in goals. Hutson and Slafkovsky are pieces if you want to full stack.
