Studs and Stacks: Building Blocks for DFS – March 10

Studs and Stacks – March 10

In this article, we spotlight today’s top NHL DFS studs and stack recommendations, focusing on high-upside players and synergistic line combinations that can elevate your lineups. Whether you’re targeting cash games or GPPs, these picks are designed to maximize value and exposure. Let’s dive into the matchups and identify the key players to target.

STUDS
The Center: Macklin Celebrini
Love the game environment in this one, and it sets up perfectly for the league’s fifth-leading scorer.  We saw the Sabres give up seven goals last time out, and while that may not happen again, Buffalo’s defense isn’t elite.  He’ll also save you a little salary compared to McDavid/MacKinnon, which could help on this large slate.

The Wing: Tage Thompson
Four helpers for Thompson last time out and eight points in his last five games, and given the fact that the Sharks have allowed the sixth most goals in the league, he should have plenty of chances in this one.  He’s on pace for 90 points this season as well.

The Defenseman: Matthew Schaefer
Schaefer continues to impress with two goals (15 shots) and three helpers in his last five while maintaining a 60-point pace.  The Isles get a good matchup tonight against the Blues who have allowed the seventh most goals with the fourth-worst penalty kill.

The Value: Mavrik Bourque
Bourque is on L1 with Robertson/Johnston (he’s also on PP2), and he’s got a little four-game point streak going (two goals and four assists).

STACKS
The Full: COL (Mackinnon-Necas-Nelson-Makar)
This spot is just too good to pass up: the Avs are at home and they’re facing the sieve of a defense that is the Edmonton Oilers.  Mix in Nichushkin and Kadri as your secondary pieces, but regardless, the upside is sky high.

The Mini: MIN (Kaprizov-Boldy)
These two have 71 goals between them; the Wild are at home against a gettable Utah defense, so a little bit of exposure here as a mini stack could make some sense.
