The Week 16 Milly Maker winner was constructed by putting together the most contrarian lineup we’ve seen all season. This lineup targeted some of the best plays that were overlooked and utilized two stacks of 3 to take down the $1,000,000 contest on Draftkings.

$1,000,000 Milly Maker Ownership

Week 16 Ownership
J Herbert 7.01%
C Brown 6.10%
J Cook 13.23%
C Olave 12.32%
Q Johnston 1.47%
K Allen 8.51%
B Bowers 2.14%
A Jeanty 2%
Raiders 2.74%
Total 55.52%

This lineup was super contrarian. The only real chalk pieces were Cook and Olave and they were barely chalk with just over 10% ownership.

Top Leverage Plays

Chase Brown at 6% ownership

There was plenty of Chalk priced around Chase Brown that failed or didn’t perform the way he did. Achane and Gibbs, for example, both didn’t provide tournament winning value and Brown was only  outscored by Jeanty who was also in the lineup.

Chris Olave at 12% ownership

Highest scoring player on the slate at just 12% ownership. He was a clear 10 points higher than the 2nd highest scoring wide receiver.

Ashton Jeanty at 2% ownership

Almost nobody wanted to play Jeanty against the Texans and thus he was the highest scoring RB on the slate at only 2% ownership and thus the top leverage play at Running Back.

Milly Maker Pricing & Value

Week 16 Pricing FPTS per Dollar
J Herbert $6,000 5.53X
C Brown $6,900 4.75X
J Cook $7,700 3.81X
C Olave $6,500 6.12X
Q Johnston $4,900 4.77X
K Allen $4,800 1.95X
B Bowers $5,600 2.55X
A Jeanty $5,600 6.21X
Raiders $2,000 .5X
Total $50,000 4.36X

A Punt with the Raiders at DST and the Herbert double stack with two wide receivers under 5K provided the salary savings to pay up at tight end for Bowers. Furthermore, getting Brown, Cook, and Olave together for an average salary of $7,000 brought some good ceiling for this lineup. The top values were Olave and Jeanty who both hit 6X their salary and carried the lineup from a value perspective. Herbert also was the only other player above 5X his salary.

Ceiling

With a lot of the chalk failing, the winning lineup score was lower than most weeks with 218.2 FPTS – the third lowest score of the Season. This brought the seasonal average down 1 Fantasy Point to 238 FPTS on the season.
