Studs and Stacks – November 9
The NHL season is in full swing, and daily fantasy hockey enthusiasts continue to get in on the action on DraftKings and FanDuel. In this article, we spotlight today’s top NHL DFS studs and stack recommendations, focusing on high-upside players and synergistic line combinations that can elevate your lineups. Whether you’re targeting cash games or GPPs, these picks are designed to maximize value and exposure. Let’s dive into the matchups and identify the key players to target.
STUDS
The Stud: Kirill Kaprizov
Kap has been good all season, scoring 21 points in 16 games (good for a tie for third in the league) and looking like the Hart candidate he was halfway through last season. Great spot for the Wild tonight as well.
The Pivot: William Nylander
20 points in 11 games and looking like he’s carrying the offense for the Leafs so far. They played last night, but so did their opponent, so I like him to get some extra chances against a possibly-tired Hurricanes team who flew in from Carolina after last night’s game. Four goals and five assists in his last five games as well.

The Low-Owned: Mikko Rantanen
Continuing his elite play with eight goals and 13 assists (good for a tie for third in the league in scoring).
The Value: Michael Amadio
Four goals in his last five games.
STACKS
The Full: DAL (Rantanen-Johnston-Robertson)
The Stars have nice upside as evidenced by this trio having 20 goals (17 between the first two) and 33 assists together. Seattle’s offense is average at best, and they are on the second half of a back-to-back.
The Mini: UTA (Schmaltz-Cooley)
Ottawa is bottom five in goals allowed and the Mammoth are playing really well offensively; these two are driving things.
