Studs and Stacks for October 14, 2025: DraftKings & FanDuel Picks

Studs and Stacks – October 14

As the 2025–26 NHL season kicks off, daily fantasy hockey enthusiasts are gearing up for the action on DraftKings and FanDuel. In this article, we spotlight today’s top NHL DFS studs and stack recommendations, focusing on high-upside players and synergistic line combinations that can elevate your lineups. Whether you’re targeting cash games or GPPs, these picks are designed to maximize value and exposure. Let’s dive into the matchups and identify the key players to target.

FORWARDS

The Stud: Jack Eichel
Eichel might be playing the best he’s ever played, and that’s in large part to having Mitch Marner on his wing, likely the best winger he’s played with.  Two goals and five assists through three games, and he’s well on his way to (shockingly) his first 100-point season.

The Pivot: Seth Jarvis
Three goals in two games for Jarvis, who really took a step forward last season playing in the Four Nations tournament.  Great spot for him again tonight.

The Low-Owned: Pavel Dorofeyev
Five goals through three games for Dorofeyev, and he’ll continue to go overlooked with all the other studs on this team, though if he keeps producing anywhere close to this, the field will start to take a look at him.

The Value: Cutter Gauthier
Two goals in his first two games, and before last night he was leading the league in shots on goal with 14.  Great spot for this young Ducks team facing a bad Pittsburgh defense.

STACKS

The Full: CAR (Aho-Jarvis-Ehlers-Svechnikov)
Most of the scoring from the Hurricanes will come from this foursome this season, and tonight against sieve of a defense that is San Jose, that should be the case.  Carolina is the largest (-250) favorite on the slate tonight even on the road.

The Mini: ANA (Gauthier-Sennecke)
The Ducks have a really promising young core, and two of them are together at even strength and on the power play.  They’re really cheap as well, and in a good matchup, a skinny stack can help you fit in some studs.
