DFS Army's Sean Hoy takes a look at today's NHL Slate for DraftKings and FanDuel.

DFS NHL Snipes and Grinders for DraftKings and FanDuel - 11/9/24

Pretty nice sized slate here with some friendly pricing on Draftkings. We are sticking to our strategies here on this slate. Some of these teams are easily stackable, and that is what we will do. The domination station is where we can stack our lineups and set our exposures. Our Discord is also popping, so join the army if you want to win money.

Correlated Snipe #1 – Mitch Marner – Matthew Knies

With Matthews out, these 2 remain on the top line, however, Knies slots in on that top powerplay unit. Knies is too cheap and is actually very good. He is a great skater, and is a very powerful athlete. Marner is everything. He is line 1, powerplay 1, penalty kill 1, the Leafs are going to rely on him a ton in this spot. These guys are simply too cheap for what they’re asked to do, as well as how talented they are. Knies may have gotten a zero in the same role last night, but that is simply the variance of NHL. We play players and spots and live with the results. These guys are in a great spot at home against the Canadiens. Morgan Rielly is also viable in Leafs stacks. He has been putting up great scores and is still very cheap on Draftkings.

Correlated Snipe #2 – Artemi Panarin – Vincent Trocheck

Adam Fox is insanely cheap for his talent and resume’ on Draftkings, and he stacks well in Rangers lineup constructions. Panarin is very expensive but insanely awesome. Detroit is on the second game of a back to back with travel, and the Rangers are one of the best teams in the league. Ville Husso has been awful for about a year and a half, and the Rangers are a tough team to face after he was sent down. This game just screams Rangers as good chalk.

Correlated Snipe #3 – Elias Pettersson – Conor Garland

The Canucks are at home against the Oilers who play a pond-hockey style that can garner big mistakes and odd-man rushes. Pettersson at $5300 on Draftkings is simply hilarious, especially since he has looked a little better as of late. His game has improved and his salary has been reduced. This a good spot for cheap stars with high upside.

Grinders:

Jack Roslovic – Too cheap for one of the highest goal scorers in the entire league in this early season. The Avalanche give up goals, and Jack Roslovic scores them.

Jake Debrusk – Very cheap on line 1 for Vancouver. Finally getting comfortable in Vancouver and has scored a goal in each of his last 3 games.

Dmitry Orlov – My favorite cheap defenseman on the slate here. He has 8 points in 12 games, plays 20 minutes a night, can block shots, and is in a spot where he could score or block shots. The Avalanche have a big offense and can give up goals. Both are good for opposing defensemen.
