DFS NHL Building Blocks for DraftKings and FanDuel - November 27

NHL Building Blocks – November 27

Last slate before Thanksgiving, and as such we have a massive 15-gamer on the slate tonight.  Where do we start?  Let’s dive in!

The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines.  These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.

Starting Lineup – November 27
The Goalie
: Jake Oettinger
Best matchup tonight: the Blackhawks have scored the fewest goals in the league while the Stars have allowed the fewest goals in the league.  Oettinger (11-4-0 / 2.43 / .912) might be the best goalie in hockey.  Chicago doesn’t shoot a ton (just 26 times a game, third fewest in the league), but he’s still playable in all formats.

The Center: Anthony Cirelli
In the middle of some of his best hockey, scoring seven goals and adding two helpers during a six-game point streak, and he’s seeing over 21 minutes a night during that stretch.

The Wing: Sam Reinhart
Tied for the league lead with 16 goals and had a 13-game point streak snapped last time out.  This is a great game environment for scoring as the Panthers host the Leafs.

The Defenseman: Zach Werenski
10 points in his last five games and leads the Blue Jackets in scoring (20 points) and shots on goal (76) through their first 20 games; he also plays well over 26 minutes a night.  Columbus is at home and gets a bad Montreal team on the second half of a back-to-back.

The Value: Kiefer Sherwood
Still getting PP1 time with Boeser back; good matchup tonight.

The Stack: VAN (Pettersson-Boeser-Hughes)
Even on a back-to-back, the Canucks get one of the best matchups on the slate as the Penguins have allowed more goals (91 in just 24 games) than anyone in the league.
