Underwhelming but average sized slate tonight. Underwhelming do to the lack of star-power, but we still have some interesting choices to make nonetheless. My goalie will be Varlamov from the Islanders who absolutely destroys the Columbus Blue Jackets every time. Now, it’s stacking time!

The Jets are coming off of their first loss of the season and they are probably not happy. The Jets play a big time cycle game with hard work, and the Red Wings play pond-hockey. This will be a tough matchup for the Detroit defenders who have not impressed me much this season. These Jets players are their top line and top powerplay unit, and I expect production tonight in this matchup.

Correlated Snipe #2 – Jack Hughes – Jesper Bratt
The Devils will be sneaky as they are in Vancouver, which is one of the toughest places to play. The Devils are a hunch play for me in this spot. Kevin Lankinen can’t keep playing like Patrick Roy, and Silovs does not look as good as he did in the playoffs. The Devils can carry play and dominate at times, and I don’t think the Canucks have the depth in their back-end to keep pace, and I think they give up some goals here. Hughes has picked it up a bit, and Bratt is one of the most under-rated players in the entire league. Love the correlation and the sneakiness in this spot.
Grinders:
Cole Sillinger – Too cheap for a top line and top powerplay unit player. I will not be on CBJ tonight, but he is too cheap for his role.
Brett Howden – Plays solid minutes on Vegas’ 2nd line. That line has been cooking, and he loves to shoot. Kings on a back to back.
