DFS NHL Snipes and Grinders for DraftKings and FanDuel - 10/17/24

Merry Thursday everyone. There are some tricky spots on this larger than normal slate, but overall it is pretty flat with no jarring chalk. We are going to trust our strategies and processes on this slate to dominate our opponents, and the best way to do that is in our discord.

Correlated Snipe #1 –  Nick Suzuki – Cole Caufield – Juraj Slafkovsky

The Kings are a veteran team that is going to be playing their second game of a back to back with travel. Usually we associate the Kings with good defense, but with no Doughty, they have really struggled so far this season. The Senators just put up an 8 spot against them. The Habs offense hasn’t converted at a great clip this season so far; however, they are passing the eye test. They have looked fast and dangerous and ready to strike. Slafkovsky is a ticking timebomb of upside, Caufield is a pure sniper, and Suzuki is super consistent. This stack is afforable and in a good spot at home, which is predominantly what we roll our dice on.

Correlated Snipe #2 – Connor Bedard – Nick Foligno – Teuvo Teravainen

The Blackhawks are at home against the Sharks. This is about as good of a spot as one can be in. Bedard is ready to let the dogs out, and he correlates perfectly with his wingers on the top powerplay unit as well. Foligno scored in their last game on Bedard’s line. With his cheap wingers, the Bedard line is actually super affordable, and the upsdie is certainly there.

Grinders:

Lane Hutson – Still too cheap. 4 assists in 4 games and is also blocking shots. An interesting cheap defenseman that has a decent floor and a lot of talent.

Nick Foligno – The Chicago captain is on the top line with Bedard, as well as the top powerplay unit. I know he was in my stack, but he is a decent cheap one-off play as well
