Happy Saturday everyone! We have a wild slate tonight with several high-priced superstars in smash spots, as well as some amazing value plays. There are so many ways to attack this slate and they are almost all viable, which means we have to stick to our strategies and let destiny take its course. Correlated Snipe #1 – Leo Carlsson – Cutter Gauthier – Jackson LaCombe

With so many studs on this slate, I am finding value wherever I can, and this is it. You can get a full PP1 correlation with the Ducks top defenseman, top centerman, and top winger, for less than the price of Auston Matthews. The Ducks are doing what I wish my Columbus Blue Jackets would do, and that is play the kids and see what happens. Cutter Gauthier and Leo Carlsson have all of the upside in the world, and are insanely cheap here. By the end of the year they could both be in the 6000’s on Draftkings. I would like these kids in any spot at these salaries, but I like them even more against the Sharks who play zero defense.

Correlated Snipe #2 – Auston Matthews – Mitchell Marner

Toronto needed a game to find themselves, and then they beat NJ on the road, which is always tough. The Leafs are playing their home opener against a Pittsburgh team that can give up goals in piles. We always could go with a balanced lineup, but with the value we already found with Anaheim we want some studs. Matthews, Mackinnon, and McDavid stacks will all garner ownership and leverage off of each other, but I am leaning with Matthews stacks for now. Mackinnon is up against the CBJ who are stink, but are making it clear that they want to limit the goals against and will play very hard. McDavid is against the crappy Blackhawks, but the Hawks are showing me a scrappy defense and will be playing their startimg goalie. Matthews at home vs the Penguins just screams upside to me, although all 3 high-priced stacks are viable.

Grinders:

Trevor Zegras – For the talent level he possesses and the salary, he is a good play. L2 and PP1. If you wanna do a 4 stack instead of a 3 stack with Anaheim, either pile on with Zegras or Alex Killorn.

Sean Monahan – CBJ stink, but Monahan is cheap, and is their top centerman and PP1 driver. Great value for the role.

Matvei Michkov – Still only 3000 on Draftkings. The sky is the limit for this kid.

Lane Hutson – Copy/paste the same description as Michkov.

Will Smith – Copy/paste the same description as Hutson and Michkov. Draftkings has not appropriately priced their young stars yet. Also, Celebrini may miss this game.

Kent Johnson – Same story as all of these other young guys. 2 points in the first game of the season.
