Happy Thursday my NHL gambling degenerates! We have a full slate of great games to look forward to here. Before I get into my 2 favorite stacks of the slate, I just wanted to shoutout all of the new NHL gamblers on our Discord who are turning in winners immediately. Nice job goons! Also, Jeremy Swayman is my cash game goalie for this slate, as the Bruins are playing their home opener. Also, I write these the day before, because I have a busy schedule and I jot my thoughts down as I go and have a few minutes. Us DFS Army coaches do it for the love of the game!
Correlated Snipe #1 – David Pastrnak – Elias Lindholm – Pavel Zacha
Charlie McAvoy is always viable in Bruins stacks as well because he is the top defenseman and mans the PP1. I already shouted out Swayman here in this spot, but I am just going to be on the Bruins in general here. Boston’s home opener is always a scene, and they are getting the Montreal Canadiens who will be playing on a second leg of a back to back. 2 big emotional rivalry games with-in the division to start the season for Montreal with travel is a tough ask. The Bruins are seeking their first win of the season, and their top players started to form chemistry towards then end of their opening night loss to the Panthers. The Bruins will be chalky, but the chalk is good in this spot.
Correlated Snipe #2 – Dylan Larkin – Lucas Raymond – Alex Debrincat
Moritz Seider is also a great correlated play with these guys as the PP1 defenseman. These 3 skilled players developed chemistry last year, and I expect it to keep growing. Lucas Raymond is an immensely talented player who is young and will keep getting better. Debrincat started super hot out of the gates, and I expect him to do that again this season. The Penguins are old, have a bad blueline, and questionable goaltending at best. The Penguins are also playing on the 2nd day of a back to back and are traveling. Detroit has big expectations for their team this year, and I don’t think they will disappoint on their home debut.

Grinders:
Macklin Celebrini – Super cheap on Draftkings. Number 1 overall pick at home in his NHL debut is something to think about
Kent Johnson – Stone-min on Draftkings. He is one of the CBJ’s best players. PP1 and super talented. This is an understandable, but a complete oversight nonetheless.
Brandt Clarke – PP1 for the Kings against a crappy Sabres team. Another young stud player going completely overlooked. He is the stone-min on Draftkings
Simon Edvinsson – Stone-min again on Draftkings. Now you can have 2 min-priced defensemen. 6’6 Swede who is young and super active as a shot blocker.
