NHL Building Blocks – October 29
Tuesday night brings up a solid slate of seven games with some nice offenses and a good assortment of mid-priced and high-upside stacks. Let’s dive in!
The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines. These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.
Starting Lineup – October 29
The Goalie: David Rittich
Should be the chalky goalie on the slate as he gets the Sharks on the second half of a back-to-back. He’s been decent this season (3-2-0 / 3.09 / .874) as he looks to take the top spot in net. Solid play in all formats.
The Center: Nick Suzuki
Suzuki has 11 points (three goals) through eight games (including points in seven straight games), and the Canadiens are at home against an average Kraken team that just flew across the country.
The Wing: Kirill Kaprizov
Four goals and 11 assists in eight games thus far for Kap, including 11 in his last five, and he and the Wild get a bad and old Penguins team tonight.
The Defenseman: Noah Dobson
Nice floor for Dobson (as usual) as he has 18 blocks, 27 shots, and five assists through eight games, and he sees over 24 minutes per game.
The Value: Marcus Johansson
Just three points in seven games, but he sees L2/PP2 time and is in one of the better matchups on the slate.
The Stack: MIN1 (Kaprizov-Zuccarello-Rossi)
Hard to not like the Wild in this one as the Penguins have allowed more goals than any team in the league this season. This trio has combined for 11 of Minnesota’s 29 goals on the season; mix in Faber and Boldy for PP1 exposure.
