NHL Building Blocks – March 11

Small slate of four games to start off the week right.  Let’s dive in!

The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines.  These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.

Starting Lineup – March 11
The Goalie:
 Connor Hellebuyck ($8000 DK / $8400 FD)
Helming the league’s second best team goals allowed average (2.41 per game), Hellebuyck carries a 2.35 GAA of his own along with a .921 save percentage into a matchup with the Capitals who have been playing better but who still average under three goals a contest.  The Jets are fighting for the top spot in the West and should show up for this one tonight.

The Center:  Pavel Zacha ($4400 DK/ $5500 FD)
Five goals in his last five games (just 10 shots, so efficient even without volume) and is playing his best hockey of the season.

The Wing:  Artemi Panarin ($8900 DK/ $9800 FD)
Three goals and six assists in L5 and should miss the Devils’ top line.  Fifth in the league in scoring as well and is on pace for well over 100 points.

The Defenseman:  Noah Dobson ($7200 DK / $7600 FD)
64 points in 63 games and averages two and a half blocks and shots each per game; four points in last five games.

The Value:  Sonny Milano ($2800 DK / $4100 FD)
A goal in five straight games; L3 with Strome and PP2.

The Stack:  NYR2 (Panarin-Trocheck-Lafreniere)
The Devils’ defense is bad, and if their offense can go off against a good New York defense, we could see a shootout.  The Rangers are 10th in goals per game and fifth in power play, and they get a defense that gives up three and a half goals per game.  Mix in Zibanejad and Kreider as secondary pieces.

The Builder: none
