Correlated Snipe #1 – Alex Debrincat – Patrick Kane
The Wings are up against a bad Buffalo squad, and Detroit is in the thick of the playoff race. Their top line correlates with their top powerplay unit, and they are playing the Sabres who have one of the most exploitable teams in the league from a defensive standpoint. The overall defense (on paper) for the Sabres does briefly make me pause, but the Wings are a high flying team and Patrick Kane has been buzzing. These Wings guys have high upside in this spot, especially with how heavily they will be relied upon. I also don’t mind secondary stacks of Compher/Raymond for savings and leverage.

Correlated Snipe #2 – Travis Konecny – Sean Couturier – Cam York
I typically don’t stack the Flyers, but the sold so much more at the deadline, that I think any team can score 5 in any game on them in the NHL. This will be a super low owned, and high risk tournament stack, but it is one where you will leapfrog the standings if they start scoring. Travis Konecny is one of the most under-rated players in the entire league, and he should not deal with much resistance here. Every game is a playoff game for the Flyers. Torts being suspended for 2 games may also galvanize the squad into playing even better since he will be analyzing their play from afar.
Grinder #1 – Nick Foligno – Too cheap in this spot. He plays with Bedard both on his regular line and the top powerplay unit. He plays around 20 minutes a night, and is always a candidate to score.
