NHL Building Blocks – February 26

Small slate of four games to start off the last full week of February.  Let’s dive in!

The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines.  These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.

Starting Lineup – February 26
The Goalie:
 Linus Ullmark ($8000 DK / $8600 FD)
Should be popular facing a Kraken team that averages just 2.75 goals per game (and averaging 2.3 in their past 10).  Boston’s defense is solid (2.69 goals allowed per game, fourth best), and Ullmark (16-6-5 / 2.72 / .914) has been solid as well all season; he’s also won four of his last five starts, shutting out the Canucks in the process.

The Center:  Connor McDavid ($9800 DK/ $10600 FD)
Continues to be productive (nine assists and 16 SOG in L5) and has moved up to third in the league in scoring with 89 points in just 52 games.

The Wing:  David Pastrnak ($9700 DK/ $10500 FD)
Four points and 22 shots in L5 and is matchup-proof; leads the league in shots with 294 and is fourth in points with 82.

The Defenseman:  Vince Dunn ($5100 DK / $6100 FD)
Strong all-around player in a tough matchup; two goals and an assist in L5.  Sees more than 23 minutes a night in all three situations (and will be needed in all three).

The Value:  Connor McMichael ($3600 DK / $4300 FD)
On fire with five goals in his last five games and is skating on L1 with Ovie.  Good spot tonight as well.

The Stack:  EDM1 (McDavid-Hyman-Foegele)
Good matchup here at home, though their offense has gone a little cold (but that’s perfect as people might be off of them a little).  Oilers still average over three and a half goals per game (fifth in the league) and have a 27.6% power play, and the Kings are good defensively as well.  Mix in Draisaitl and RNH for secondary exposure.

The Builder: DAL/EDM ML parlay
