NHL Building Blocks – February 25

Nice small slate of five games to end the weekend, and some strong offenses in action as well.  Let’s dive in!

The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines.  These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.

Starting Lineup – February 25
The Goalie:
 Connor Hellebuyck ($8400 DK / $8700 FD)
Strong play tonight at home tonight; Arizona is struggling everywhere, having lost 11 straight games and now playing the Jets who have the league’s best GAA at 2.35.  Hellebuyck (27-11-3 / 2.19 / .925) is a frontrunner for the Vezina and has won four of his last five starts (with a shutout thrown in there).

The Center:  Dylan Larkin ($7200 DK/ $8500 FD)
Averaging a point per game this season and has a great matchup tonight; four points and nine shots in L5, and also kills penalties.  Solid floor with great upside.

The Wing:  Artemi Panarin ($9100 DK/ $9900 FD)
Highest upside on the slate; tied for sixth in the league in scoring and has been on fire lately, nabbing a goal and nine assists in his last five games.  Should be able to do whatever he wants tonight.

The Defenseman:  Rasmus Dahlin ($7800 DK / $7600 FD)
Two points and 19 shots in L5 and averages three SOG and two blocks per game on the season.  Carolina is a tough matchup and shoots a lot, so he’ll be needed in all situations.

The Value:  Jack Roslovic ($3600 DK / $4100 FD)
Has been very active of late, registering five points and 20 SOG in L5.  Tough matchup tonight, though.

The Stack:  NYR2 (Panarin-Trocheck-Lafreniere)
New York has put together a 10-game winning streak to propel them to the top of the East.  They get a Blue Jackets team that has begun to throw in the towel on this season, beginning the trade season early.  Rangers rank in the top 10 in goals per game (ninth) and power play (third), and both should be on display tonight.  Panarin-Trocheck and Mika-Kreider are both valid pairings; mix them all together and add Fox for power play exposure.

The Builder:  NYR/WPG ML parlay
