Dallas is at on the road in Buffalo, facing the Sabres who have been bad, and don’t have very much in the way of defensive resistance. Dallas is Dallas, they have upside although they rarely pop off; however, on a big slate, I would go overweight on them. Their top line has played together for the majority of the last 3 years, even on the PP1. They will know that they will need to score goals when facing Buffalo who can score at a decent clip. They should be facing Devon Levi who is barely an NHL goalie yet. The kid has a tremendous ceiling and is talented, but is still learning the peaks and valleys of pro hockey. This should be a fast-paced game, and Dallas can adjust to any style very well.

Correlated Snipe #2 – Nico Hischier – Jesper Bratt
The Devils are in an interesting spot against the Avalanche who are on the second game of a back to back. I write these in advance the day before, so I don’t know who will win between the Avalanche and Rangers, but Georgiev is scheduled to start, so that means the Devils should get a tired Avalanche team and an inexperienced goalie (Prosvetov went on waivers). MSG to Newark NJ isn’t a bad trip, but any back to back with travel, I will target the opposing team. Mackinnon and Makar also both competed in the skills competition and played two 3v3 all-star games, so they actually both might be a little annoyed with this scheduling. As of right now Hischier and Bratt are on the top line and top PP unit, so those talented guys are who I am targeting. The Devils need to pick it up to stay in the playoff hunt down the stretch.
Grinder #1– Jonathan Drouin – has a low floor, but a high ceiling. Any player that is glued to Mackinnon and Rantanen on the top line and powerplay unit has a high ceiling.
Bankroll Grinder – I am taking a risk here and going with NJ -1.5, and VAN/CAR over 6.5. This 2 game parlay is paying +520 currently; that’s pretty solid!
