Correlated Snipe #1 – Nikita Kucherov – Brayden Point – Steven Stamkos

The Lightning are a pricey way to stack a lineup; but when the spot is too juicy, why not try to win a tournament? The Lightning are fighting for their playoff lives every game they play. Simple as that. Also take into account that the Devils are not very good, and that the Lightning are at home. This is a very simple analysis, and I don’t regret it. Sometimes simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication. Jam the Lightning, and either win a ton or lose. We are here to win tournaments. The Lightning need every point they can get, and the Devils are thinking about their all-star break vacations, while limping there.

Correlated Snipe #2 – Elias Pettersson – Quinn Hughes
Vancouver is in a sweet spot against the very bad CBJ. The CBJ goaltending has been inconsistent, and their defense quite simply has been very bad recently. If stacking the Canucks, I prefer Petterson over everyone. Pettersson has the highest upside, always; so if you can’t afford everyone and need a 2 man stack, go Pettersson plus X. Quinn Hughes is always viable if you can get there. One of the highest upsided spots on the slate. This game has serious shootout potential, but mainly for Vancouver. It is cookie night at home!
Grinder #1 – Olen Zellweger – He is nearly min-priced and is on the top PP unit for the Ducks. The Ducks are playing their youngsters, and Zellweger has been a good prospect for a little while now. Over time, I expect his minutes to increase. This move was prompted by them trading Drysdale (which I live that trade for the Ducks, given that they were hiding Zellweger all along).
Grinder #2 – Jonathan Huberdeau – He is still way too cheap, and is in a great spot against the terrible Chicago Blackhawks. Huberdeau has had a rough year, but there is still a big point producer somewhere in there.
Bankroll Grinder – I am seeing a 2 leg parlay of CBJ/VAN over 6.5, and TB -1.5, paying at a +342 clip. Nice!
