NBA DFS Point Guard Plays:
Spend up: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (DraftKings $10.1k)
FanDuel left this game off of the main slate, so you’ll have to get exposure to him on the late slate if you want to play/watch him tonight. That said, he’s going to look like a great spend-up point guard option on DraftKings. He’s coming off of a huge game against the Blazers last night as the Blazers were able to keep the game close. The Thunder aren’t playing as well as they were a few weeks ago, so I’m somewhat less worried about blowouts with them right now. SGA dropped 56.5 DraftKings points in this matchup earlier this season and the Spurs are allowing the 3rd most fantasy points per game to opposing point guards.
Mid-range: Dejounte Murray (DraftKings $8.4k)
Yet another game not on the main slate on FanDuel, but Dejounte Murray is going to look great again in this one with Trae Young sidelined. He dropped 61 DraftKings points last time out and is playing massive minutes. Murray will run this backcourt and offense with Trae out, he has a 28% usage rate and 1.28 fantasy points per minute with Trae off of the court this season. The matchup doesn’t scare me either, this Warriors team has been massively disappointing to start the season.
Value: Mike Conley (DraftKings $5.3k; FanDuel $5.9k)
Mike Conley is never a sexy option but he’s been extremely consistent this season and he gets an elite matchup against the Wizards who may be the worst team in the league, particularly defensively. They’re allowing the most fantasy points per game to opposing point guards on the season. The Domination Station has Conley projected as a nice point-per-dollar option tonight at his current price tag at 5.72x which gives him 30.3 DraftKings points.

NBA DFS Shooting Guard Plays:
Spend up: Donovan Mitchell (DraftKings $9.7k; FanDuel $10.3k)
I love going right back to the well with Spida in this one even at an elevated price tag. He’s averaging 58.1 DraftKings points per game in two games against the Bucks this season. The Cavs will continue to be without Darius Garland and Evan Mobley in this one, he has a 31.4% usage rate and 1.43 fantasy points per minute with him off of the court this season. The Bucks have allowed some big games to opposing guards on the season, maybe that changes with Adrian Griffin fired yesterday, but one day later, I can’t imagine things change that quickly.
Mid-range: Bogdan Bogdanovic (DraftKings $6.0k)
Bogdanovic disappointed as chalk last time out and hasn’t been in the best form as of late being held under 30 fantasy points in eight straight games. That said, the Hawks will be without Trae Young again in this one which gives him a chance at a sizeable boost in this offense. He has a 23.1% usage rate and 0.94 fantasy points per minute with Young off of the court this season. Similar to Murray in the point guard section, the matchup doesn’t bother me on Bogdanovic either. Solid price tag and will be a guy I would expect to have a good amount of again on tonight’s slate.
Value: John Konchar (DraftKings $4.0k; FanDuel $4.8k)
Konchar has started the last couple of games for the Grizzlies as they continue to be shorthanded, so I would anticipate he’s right back in the starting lineup in this one. He’s looked good and can stuff the stat sheet so we’re not dependent on him going in and shooting lights out. He’s probably a better option on DraftKings where he’s cheaper and has multi-position eligibility but I have no issue with him on FanDuel as well with the minutes he should see in this one.
NBA DFS Small Forward Plays:
Spend up: Jalen Williams (DraftKings $7.0k)
The small forward position doesn’t have a whole lot for spend-up options on this slate so we immediately jump to the high end of the mid-range with J-dub. Williams has been as consistent as they come as of late averaging 38.8 DraftKings points per game over his last six games. He also gets an elite matchup against the Spurs in this one, he did struggle against them earlier this season but played just 23 minutes. Assuming he plays his full complement of minutes he’s going to look like a nice option again here.
Mid-range: Saddiq Bey (DraftKings $5.1k)
Bey hasn’t been in the best form but had a solid bounce-back game last time out against the Kings. He’s been playing massive minutes ever since De’Andre Hunter went down and now they’ll be without Trae Young for the second straight games. With Young off of the court this season, Bey has a 20.2% usage rate and 0.9 fantasy points per minute. He brings multi-position eligibility as well at a very fair price tag. The Domination Station has him projected for 27.45 DraftKings points giving him 5.38x his current price tag.
Value: David Roddy (DraftKings $4.2k; FanDuel $4.5k)
Roddy has been getting solid minutes as this Grizzlies team continues to be shorthanded and is now without Bismack Biyombo which has cleared the way for big-body Roddy. He’s averaging 26.5 minutes per game over his last five to go along with 20.6 DraftKings points per game. He hasn’t been an elite per-minute guy on the season but averaging right around 0.75 fantasy points per minute. SF/PF eligibility on both DraftKings and FanDuel, I think you can do much worse than Roddy at this price tag.
NBA DFS Power Forward Plays:
Spend up: Giannis Antetokounmpo (DraftKings $11.0k; FanDuel $12.1k)
Do we get chip on the shoulder Giannis today with something to prove that the Bucks made the right decision in firing Adrian Griffin? I think there’s certainly a chance, this guy has been playing pissed off all season long and there’s no stopping him when he’s in that zone. He’s averaging 64.1 DraftKings points per game over his last four games and had 63.5 DraftKings points in this matchup earlier this season. Giannis is going to look like a top raw option on this slate if we can find the savings to get up to him.
Mid-range: Miles Bridges (DraftKings $7.6k; FanDuel $8.0k)
Bridges still feels like he’s slightly too cheap here, he’s playing right around 40 minutes per game and gets an elite matchup against the Pistons in this one. He’s not afraid to shoot either, he has at least 20 field goal attempts in three of his last four and 10 3-point attempts in back-to-back games. He would see a boost if Nick Richards is forced to miss as well, he currently comes in as questionable. The Domination Station has him projected for 43.26 DraftKings points giving him 5.69x his current price tag.
Value: Onyeka Okongwu (DraftKings $4.6k)
Value is tough at PF unless you want to throw David Roddy down here, which is more than in play. I like getting exposure to Okongwu again in this one as his price tag just hangs out in this mid-$4k range. I mentioned it earlier this week but we’ve seen him over $6k at times this season. He has PF/C eligibility and they haven’t been afraid to play him next to Capela as of late which helps secure his minutes. He has at least 26 DraftKings points in two of his last four, he’s a nice option in all formats.
NBA DFS Center Plays:
Spend up: Alperen Sengun (DraftKings $8.3k; FanDuel $9.4k)
Sengun looks awesome here, he’s been on a heater with at least 48 DraftKings points in three straight and at least 57 DraftKings points in back-to-back games. The matchup is great, he should be able to do whatever he wants down low against Ayton who looks lost right now. Sengun is playing around 40 minutes per game and feels too cheap. He grades out as the top point per dollar option on DraftKings at 6.1x which gives him a projection of 50.65 DraftKings points.
Mid-range: Jalen Duren (DraftKings $6.8k; FanDuel $7.2k)
I love Duren in the mid-range today, he had a huge game against the Hornets earlier this season and this Hornets team just is not good against opposing big men. They are allowing the 2nd most fantasy points per game to opposing centers on the season and that may not tell the whole story as Nick Richards comes in as questionable. If Richards is forced to miss, the Hornets will have to turn to guys like JT Thor and Nathan Mensah to try and guard Duren. Give me all the Duren in this one.
Value: Naz Reid (DraftKings $4.9k; FanDuel $6.0k)
Outside of Onyeka Okongwu, there isn’t a ton of true value at the center position tonight and in these cases, I look to target the point-per-minute monsters like Naz Reid. He’s not going to play a ton of minutes, but I would expect to see 20-25 for him again in this one and he can drop 30+ fantasy points in that time. He’s not going to be a core guy for me (unless Towns or Gobert ends up getting downgraded), but I have no issue using him as a filler piece with PF/C eligibility.
