Zero to Hero: Dominating the NHL Season with Smart Bets – December 9
Goalie got run over by a freight train wand’ring out to try to get the puck…
The premise of each article in this series is to feature a few “safe” foundational plays to build some strong cash lines around as well as to offer any props or straight bets that have some solid potential. We’re looking for players and teams that have a solid floor and are in a good spot matchup-wise; these will be the building blocks of a booming bankroll. (Yeah, I alliterized…deal with it.) I will also provide a recap from the day before and rewind to see if we were on the right plays. Keep in mind that just like a regular season, the building of a solid bankroll is a grind – it requires patience, mental fortitude, and discipline to weather the cold streaks until things turn around and you go on a heater.

THE BUILDER – DECEMBER 9
The Player Builder: Brock Boeser ($7100 DK / $8300 FD)
Still too cheap for his production (leading the league in goals with 18) and for his upside tonight. Nice alternative pricing from some of the other stud wings on the slate.
The Stack Builder: VAN2 (Miller-Boeser-Hughes)
Always worth exposure to, especially in a matchup that could explode on either side. The Canucks are third in the league in goals per game (3.81); Miller and Hughes are both top five in the league in points and Boeser leads the league in goals. Mix in Pettersson and Kuzmenko for secondary correlation.
The Bet Builder: BOS/COL ML (found around +100)
Bruins ML (facing the Coyotes) can be found around -245.
Avalanche ML (facing the Flyers) can be found around -230.

Vancouver Canucks left wing Andrei Kuzmenko celebrates with centre Elias Pettersson and right wing Brock Boeser during the first period against the San Jose Sharks at SAP Center at San Jose. The Canucks won 10-1 on Nov. 2, 2023.
