Zero to Hero: Dominating the NHL Season with Smart Bets – December 2
‘Tis the season to play hockey…fa la la la la, la la la la. 🙂
The premise of each article in this series is to feature a few “safe” foundational plays to build some strong cash lines around as well as to offer any props or straight bets that have some solid potential. We’re looking for players and teams that have a solid floor and are in a good spot matchup-wise; these will be the building blocks of a booming bankroll. (Yeah, I alliterized…deal with it.) I will also provide a recap from the day before and rewind to see if we were on the right plays. Keep in mind that just like a regular season, the building of a solid bankroll is a grind – it requires patience, mental fortitude, and discipline to weather the cold streaks until things turn around and you go on a heater.
Recap from 12/1
Player builder: Jack Hughes (one goal; six shots; one hit) ✅
Stack builder: NJ PP1 (one goal and two assists; 24 shots) ✅
Bet builder: NJ/OTT ML (Sharks beat the Devils) ❌
Builder Record: 22-20; +2.05 units
THE BUILDER – DECEMBER 2
The Player Builder: Brock Boeser ($7300 DK / $7700 FD)
Great floor and great prices (especially considering some of the other stud wingers on the slate). Leads the league in goals with 17 in just 23 games and in a good spot as a crucial part of the league’s best offense.
The Stack Builder: VAN (Miller-Boeser-Hughes)
The league’s best offense is always in play. Flames don’t scare defensively; they’re middle of the pack in most defensive categories. Miller (second in the league in scoring) has taken over as the offensive fulcrum, as has Hughes (tied for fourth). They skate together with Boeser (17 goals to lead the league), so grab them all together. Petterson and Hronek are your secondary pieces.
The Bet Builder: WPG/COL ML (found around -110)
Jets ML (facing the Blackhawks) can be found around -290.
Avalanche ML (facing the Ducks) can be found around -240.

Vancouver Canucks left wing Andrei Kuzmenko celebrates with centre Elias Pettersson and right wing Brock Boeser during the first period against the San Jose Sharks at SAP Center at San Jose. The Canucks won 10-1 on Nov. 2, 2023.
