Zero to Hero: Dominating the NHL Season with Smart Bets – December 10
Slap shots ripping past a screened goalie…slap shots nipping at your skates…
The premise of each article in this series is to feature a few “safe” foundational plays to build some strong cash lines around as well as to offer any props or straight bets that have some solid potential. We’re looking for players and teams that have a solid floor and are in a good spot matchup-wise; these will be the building blocks of a booming bankroll. (Yeah, I alliterized…deal with it.) I will also provide a recap from the day before and rewind to see if we were on the right plays. Keep in mind that just like a regular season, the building of a solid bankroll is a grind – it requires patience, mental fortitude, and discipline to weather the cold streaks until things turn around and you go on a heater.

THE BUILDER – DECEMBER 10
The Player Builder: Roman Josi ($7900 DK / $7900 FD)
Great matchup for the Predators tonight; Josi’s line this season: 20 points, 46 blocks, 98 shots and 24+ minutes of ice time in 26 games. Always a good floor with a good ceiling tonight.
The Stack Builder: NSH1 (Forsberg-O’Reilly-Josi-Nyquist)
The Predators’ offense is still underproducing, but they’ll have ample opportunity tonight facing the Canadiens who allow 3.5 goals per game and over 34 shots, both in the bottom five in the league. Nashville’s offense is right in the middle of the pack, but Forsberg (30 points in 26 games, including 14 goals on 105 shots) and Josi (20 points, 98 shots, and 46 blocks) provide a strong floor/ceiling combo. Mix in O’Reilly and Nyquist as secondary pieces.
The Bet Builder: WPG/VGK ML (found around -110)
Jets ML (facing the Ducks) can be found around -200.
Golden Knights ML (facing the Sharks) can be found around -375.
