Zero to Hero: Dominating the NHL Season with Smart Bets – November 29
Can’t believe it’s almost December!
The premise of each article in this series is to feature a few “safe” foundational plays to build some strong cash lines around as well as to offer any props or straight bets that have some solid potential. We’re looking for players and teams that have a solid floor and are in a good spot matchup-wise; these will be the building blocks of a booming bankroll. (Yeah, I alliterized…deal with it.) I will also provide a recap from the day before and rewind to see if we were on the right plays. Keep in mind that just like a regular season, the building of a solid bankroll is a grind – it requires patience, mental fortitude, and discipline to weather the cold streaks until things turn around and you go on a heater.

THE BUILDER – NOVEMBER 29
The Player Builder: Vincent Trocheck ($5900 DK/ $6400 FD)
Has been very good this season (16 points in 20 games) and correlates with the rest of the big boys. On a small slate, could make some sense to use him as the builder to get exposure all throughout and fade Panarin (the priciest player). Great price for his upside as well.
The Stack Builder: NYR2 (Panarin-Trocheck)
Always a high-upside offense. The third-best power play in the league and the third fewest total goals allowed in the league…this is an appealing spot for the Rangers. The Wings are average defensively and do have some firepower even without Larkin to keep this competitive. Mix in Kreider and Zibanejad (PP1; nine power play goals between them) and Gustavsson (L1/PP1 and price – as long as Fox is still out) for additional correlation.
The Bet Builder: NYR/LAK ML (found around +105)
Rangers ML (facing the Red Wings) can be found around -215.
Kings ML (facing the Capitals) can be found around -225.
