Zero to Hero: Dominating the NHL Season with Smart Bets – November 13
Into the middle of November. Getting close to turkey time…and starting to think of things I’m thankful for (including hockey).
The premise of each article in this series is to feature a few “safe” foundational plays to build some strong cash lines around as well as to offer any props or straight bets that have some solid potential. We’re looking for players and teams that have a solid floor and are in a good spot matchup-wise; these will be the building blocks of a booming bankroll. (Yeah, I alliterized…deal with it.) I will also provide a recap from the day before and rewind to see if we were on the right plays. Keep in mind that just like a regular season, the building of a solid bankroll is a grind – it requires patience, mental fortitude, and discipline to weather the cold streaks until things turn around and you go on a heater.

THE BUILDER – NOVEMBER 13
The Player Builder: Noah Dobson ($6800 DK / $7000 FD)
Always a strong play with a great floor. Just under a point per game and close to three shots and three blocks each per game. Islanders face Edmonton tonight, which isn’t scaring anyone defensively and who just fired their coach, so there is good upside here as well.
The Stack Builder: NYI PP1 (Barzal-Horvat-Nelson-Palmieri-Dobson)
Even though the Isles’ power play isn’t the hottest (a little over 17%), the Oilers’ penalty kill is that much more atrocious at a meager 70%. The Isles’ players are cheap and in a good upside matchup tonight, so feel comfortable getting some exposure to them, especially against an Oilers’ team that hasn’t done much in any aspect.
The Bet Builder: COL/EDM ML parlay (around +275)
COL ML (facing Seattle) can be found around -160.
NYI ML (facing EDM) can be found around +130.
