NHL 2023 11/27/23 Snipes and Grinders!

Snipe #1 – Matthew Tkachuk – Sam Bennett – Brandon Montour

The Tkachuk brothers are meeting in Ottawa, which is always an exciting time in the NHL. I like how inexpensive the correlating pieces are around Matthew though. Sam Bennett is back and is never going to change his game. He is going to luck into some points playing with Tkachuk, as well as being on that top powerplay unit. Bennett is cheap, and has upside, which is what we are always looking for in the DFS world. Montour has not recorded a point since returning from injury, but that is not stopping me here. He is shooting pucks, blocking pucks, and is playing close to 25 minutes a game as of late. He was one of the leading scorers among defensemen last year, and he still knows how to play. Love the upside of these Panthers.

Snipe #2 – David Pastrnak – Brad Marchand – Pavel Zacha
These 3 are all on the same line and powerplay unit, and are playing a traveling Blue Jackets team on their second game of a back to back. Columbus stinks poopoo farts, and Spencer Martin should be getting the nod in net for them. Martin, like Columbus, stinks abysmally. We all know what the top line of the Bruins can do, and they will be a somewhat chalky stack. Charlie McAvoy quarterbacks their top powerplay unit, and is in play as well. Not a whole lot to analyze here, nab Pastrnak/Marchand in cash games, and if taking them in tournaments, get unique elsewhere.
Grinder #1 – Jonathan Drouin – Cheap options on Colorado’s top powerplay unit are always welcomed. He nabbed a goal last game, has a history in the CHL with Mackinnon, and has a revenge narrative vs TB to boot.
Grinder #2 – Mikael Granlund – His team is an absolute trash-heap, but Granlund plays over 20 minutes a night and is on the Sharks’ top powerplay unit.
Bankroll Grinder – Boston -1.5, OTT/FLA over 6.5, and the Washington money-line is nearly 4/1 on your money (+395). Let’s go!
