Surprisingly, in a week full of backup Quarterbacks and weak Vegas lines, we got a thick game stack and a 250-point winning Milly Maker score. The winning lineup was built by one of the DFS Players that many believe is the Greatest of All Time – YouDacao. Youdacao certainly proved that this kind of build – although it will lose you money most slates – can leverage the field like no other when it finally hits. You can’t play scared in Large Field GPP’s and that’s exactly how one of the best was able to take the $1,000,0000 home.
Week 9 | Points |
C.J. Stroud | 44.8 |
Bijan Robinson | 6.9 |
Rachaad White | 27.9 |
Ceedee Lamb | 32.1 |
Tank Dell | 32.6 |
Noah Brown | 30.3 |
Dalton Schultz | 31 |
Josh Jacobs | 21.8 |
Cleveland Defense | 23 |
Total | 250.4 |
Stacking
At DFS Army, we were on Stroud stacks this week with Dell and Collins as the primary stacking partners, as well as Noah Brown and Schultz as contarian pivots. However, Stroud + 3 Pass Catchers is what you needed and even the Stroud + Dell + Schultz Tournament stack that I had wasn’t enough for a takedown because you needed Noah Brown’s 30-point performance at only $3,100 salary.
C.J. Stroud 44.8 FPTS + Tank Dell 32.6 FPTS + Noah Brown 30.3 FPTS + Dalton Schultz 31 FPTS + Rachaad White 27.9 FPTS.
Total Stacking Points: 166.6 FPTS
Total Stacking Ownership: 33.20%

$1,000,000 Milly Maker Ownership
Week 9 | Ownership |
C.J. Stroud | 6.90% |
Bijan Robinson | 15.70% |
Rachaad White | 10.10% |
Ceedee Lamb | 34.90% |
Tank Dell | 6.80% |
Noah Brown | 3.70% |
Dalton Schultz | 5.70% |
Josh Jacobs | 17.80% |
Cleveland Defense | 11.50% |
Total | 113.10% |
This lineup really differentiated itself from the field with the Houston/Tampa stack that had 2 players at 5% ownership or less and Stroud + Dell at under 10% ownership. Despite having 34% Lamb and 17% Jacobs, this lineup was contrarian due to the Tampa/Houston game stack and specifically the targeted players of Brown and Schultz that kept it contarian.
Top Leverage Plays
C.J. Stroud at 6%
This is obvious. He was the highest scoring QB on the slate by a large margin and was under 10% ownership and only $6200.
Tank Dell at 6%
Tank Dell was the highest scoring WR on the slate. He was leverage off of everybody but specifically guys like AJ Brown, Nico Collins, and Amari Cooper.
Noah Brown at 3%
Top 3 in scoring at $3100 and under 4% ownership.
Dalton Schultz at 5%
Schultz was far and away the top TE leverage play as he outscored second place by 7 points and was under 5% ownership.
Pricing and Value from the Milly Maker Contest
Week 9 | Pricing | FPTS per Dollar |
C.J. Stroud | $6,200 | 7.22X |
Bijan Robinson | $6,100 | 1.13X |
Rachaad White | $5,600 | 4.98X |
Ceedee Lamb | $8,200 | 3.91X |
Tank Dell | $5,300 | 6.15X |
Noah Brown | $3,100 | 9.77X |
Dalton Schultz | $4,200 | 7.38X |
Josh Jacobs | $6,900 | 3.15X |
Cleveland Defense | $4,200 | 5.47X |
Total | $49,800 | 5.02X |
The key ingredient to this entire lineup – from a multitude of angles – was the stack. The Houston/Tampa team stack was the perfect mix of scoring, ownership leverage, and pricing. Stroud hit 7.22X, Dell hit 6.15X, Brown hit 9.77X, Schultz 7.38X, and White hit 4.98X as the bring back. This stack carried the rest of the lineup which is why Bijan’s dud of 1.13X didn’t even matter. The entire lineup hit 5.02X and didn’t use all $50,000 of salary – something that has happened 7 out of 9 times this year. Also, again there wasn’t a player above $8500. 7 out of 9 weeks this year we haven’t had a player above $8500 in the winning Milly Maker Lineup.
Ceiling
The takeaway for me in this lineup is that even when the Vegas lines point to a low scoring week, all it takes is for one game to go off, and just that one lineup to nail it perfectly, for the ceiling to be much higher than we had projected. This lineup was the 4th time this season when a winning Milly Maker lineup hit 250 point sor more.
