DFS NFL Week 7 DraftKings Milly Maker Review

The Milly Maker is a large Field GPP where the top prize pays out $1,000,000. Read the winning trends that we’ve found by reviewing years of winning lineups!

As I was building lineups for the slate on Sunday, I remember thinking to myself, this is an ugly slate and yet I feel like the field is getting too cute by not having high exposure to the best QB in the game – Patrick Mahomes.

Welp, that’s exactly what happened as only 11% of the field had easily the best QB play on the slate and the Mahomes to Kelce stack delivered just like it has so many times in the past.

Week 7 Points
Patrick Mahomes 37.86
Jahmyr Gibbs 27.6
Dont’a Foreman 33
Courtland Sutton 19.6
Jaxon Smith-Njigba 16.3
Josh Downs 26.5
Travis Kelce 38.9
Mark Andrews 22.3
Cleveland Browns 16
Total 238.06

Stacking

One of my favorite features of DFS Army’s Domination Station is correlative stacking, and the new feature is even better to target the right correlative stacks that we see win large field GPP’s like the Milly Maker, time and time again. Furthermore, shoutout to Bobby Wow as he mentioned the ping pong stack of Gibbs + Andrews on Friday’s Tournament Tactics show.

This lineup is exactly why you want to target those kinds of stacks, so let’s take a look at the winning stacks within this build:

Primary Stack

Patrick Mahomes 37.86 FPTS + Travis Kelce 38.9 FPTS

Secondary Stack Jahymr Gibbs 27.6 FPTS + Mark Andrews 22.3 FPTS

One thing to note here is this lineup also had a Receiver with the opposing DST in the same lineup.

Total Stacking Points: 126.66 FPTS

Total Stacking Ownership: 64.86%

$1,000,000 Milly Maker Ownership

Week 7 Ownership
Patrick Mahomes 11.59%
Jahmyr Gibbs 15.52%
Dont’a Foreman 10.32%
Courtland Sutton 4.42%
Jaxon Smith-Njigba 12.37%
Josh Downs 2.28%
Travis Kelce 17.92%
Mark Andrews 19.83%
Cleveland Browns 12.77%
Total 107.02%

Overall, this lineup was contrarian with no players over 20% ownership. 2 players under 5% ownership are what really set it apart from the field as everywhere else was between 10-19% ownership. Despite Mahomes not being as highly owned as I think he should’ve been, Mahomes was the 2nd highest owned QB. Also, Gibbs was the 5th highest owned Running Back, and Andrews/Kelce were the two highest owned Tight Ends.

Top Leverage Plays

Courtland Sutton at 4%

The thing with Sutton is he’s had a good connection with Russell Wilson and was only $5200 so almost 4X at low ownership is certainly enough to leverage the field.

Josh Downs at 2%

Downs has been underpriced relative to his role, has a great connection with Minshew, and smashed here at only $4500, producing over 5X his salary and amazingly only 2% of the field played him despite averaging over 7 targets in all but one game this year.

Pricing and Value from the Milly Maker Contest

Week 7 Pricing FPTS Per Dollar
Patrick Mahomes $8,300 4.56X
Jahmyr Gibbs $6,300 4.38X
Dont’a Foreman $4,800 6.87X
Courtland Sutton $5,200 3.76X
Jaxon Smith-Njigba $3,900 4.17X
Josh Downs $4,500 5.88X
Travis Kelce $8,000 4.86X
Mark Andrews $5,700 3.91X
Cleveland Browns $3,300 4.84X
Total $50,000 4.76X

It only took 7 weeks for the winning Milly Maker lineup to spend all $50,000 salary. One way to afford the expensive Mahomes and Kelce stack is to pay down at RB, have a sub $4000 WR, and tight end in the flex. Foreman was that one player that hit over 6X his salary for this lineup to have that GPP winning upside and Downs was close behind at 5.88X. Andrews has been criminally underpriced relative to his skillset and brought the salary relief + ceiling for this lineup to come together.

Ceiling

On an ugly, lower scoring slate, this lineup brought the heat by beating second place by almost 18 points! Despite second place scoring only 220 points, this lineup hit 238 points and the seasonal average currently sits at 247 points.
