Jared Goff (DET) vs Atlanta Falcons

Goff playing at home is a great opportunity to plug him in as a quarterback streamer. In 2023, Goff has the sixth-most passing yards, eighth-most deep ball attempts, twelfth-most passing attempts and is 10th in yards per attempt. Lastly, 2022’s home performances by Goff would have been good enough for a QB10 finish based on FPPG.
The Falcons have been a middling team against the quarterback position through two games largely because their offense prefers to slow the game down, keeping the opposing offense on the sideline. In 2022 they surrendered 16.9-FPPG to the quarterback position. This season they have not played any elite quarterbacks and they are allowing 13.9-FPPG to the position.
With an over-under of 45.5, the Lions are the favored team at home and are projected to win by 3.5 points. A favored quarterback, at home, and indoors is a great formula for a streaming candidate.
Brock Purdy (SF) vs New York Giants

Purdy has been a solid, under-the-radar fantasy quarterback since becoming the starter. This season he is ninth in air yards per attempt, ninth in fantasy points per dropback and is averaging 15.8-FPPG. We have yet to see a ceiling game from the young Iowa State product, but the New York Giants may be the spot.
The Giants have been bad and have allowed points like no other team in the NFL; so far they have allowed 34 points per game to their opponents which is the most through two games. Examining how the Giants perform against fantasy quarterbacks, they allow 15.8-FPPG and just last week Joshua Dobbs scored 25.22 fantasy points.
The 49ers are 10.5 favorites and are playing in the comfort of their own stadium. Expect Purdy and the Niners to roll in this spot.
Russell Wilson (DEN) @ Miami Dolphins

After finishing Week 1 as the QB16, Wilson followed that up with a QB3 finish against the Washington Commanders in Week 2. Will he continue to perform or will the up-and-down fantasy finishes continue? Remember, Wilson was successful for fantasy down-the-stretch in 2022; he scored 26.6, 11.3, 24.6 and 24.1 fantasy points.
The Dolphins have been average against the quarterback position and have allowed 17.3-FPPG in 2023. That is slightly better than their 2022 finish which ended with Miami being the second-worst team against the quarterback position.
Denver is expected to lose this game by 6.5 points according to oddsmakers’ projections. If this game stays close, it will be because of Wilson’s ability to move the football. With a healthy over-under of 48.5, this is a game to chase fantasy points for in Week 3.
