Defenses to Stream – Week 2 NFL Fantasy Football

DFS Army’s Gthom goes over the defenses to stream this week. The defenses to stream listed below are normally found in at least 40-percent of leagues (prior to waivers).

Saints D/ST @ Carolina Panthers

Available in 53% of Sleeper Leagues

New Orleans looks like a good place to stream in Week 2 facing off against a rookie quarterback. The Saints D/ST played solid Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans. They finished as a top-12 defense on the week and recorded three interceptions and three sacks for a total of 10 fantasy points.

The Panthers squared-off against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 1, which ended with Atlanta finishing as the 7th-best D/ST on the week. Carolina allowed two sacks, threw two interceptions and coughed up one fumble as well. The Falcons D/ST finished with 12 fantasy points on the week.

New Orleans is widely available heading into Week 2 and projects to finish as a top-five option at the D/ST position.

Giants D/ST @ Arizona Cardinals

Available in 95% of Sleeper Leagues

The Giants were quite turdly this past Sunday Night against the Cowboys. With rock bottom reached they can only go up from here. With their opponent being the Arizona Cardinals, we should see a bounce back for this Giants squad.

When Arizona faced Washington last week, quarterback Joshua Dobbs (ARI) surrendered two fumbles in that contest; the Cardinals also allowed three sacks. As a result the Commanders D/ST finished 10th-best at the position with 11 fantasy points. A lot of fantasy managers will likely avoid taking the Giants but do not shy away from this match-up as it is likely we see a top-12 finish.

The Cardinals are not projected to be good this season and until Kyler Murray returns, they will be a weekly streamer target for opposing D/ST’s.

Broncos D/ST vs Washington Commanders

Available in 40% of Sleeper Leagues

The Broncos finished last week as the 26th-best D/ST for the week and only allowed 17 points against the Raiders. While they failed to log a single sack for the game, they did secure one interception to score a total of three fantasy points. Luckily the Commanders offense looked bad in their first outing and that could create a feeding frenzy for the Broncos at home where they are the favorites in this contest.

When the Commanders played Arizona last week, the Cardinals were able score 19 fantasy points which was the third-highest on the week. Arizona secured six sacks, two fumbles, one interception and one defensive touchdown as well.

While the Broncos were featured on this article last week, expect a better showing against a Commanders team that seems to have big question marks within their offense.
