DFS NHL is a volatile sport centering around correlation, stacking and game theory. Learning how to win cash games and tournaments requires nailing those great upside plays/stacks, grabbing obvious value, and making the proper fades that sink everyone else’s ships. Let’s look through today’s slate and identify those winning picks in “Snipes and Grinders!”
All of my plays make sense for the entire DFS industry; however, if there is an egregious discrepancy in player salary between sites, I will mention it in my briefing.
Snipe = Good Play
Grinder = Value Plays (Grinders are Valuable)

DFS NHL Slate Overview:
NHL season is here! Check out all of our industry-leading content on dfsarmy.com, and if interested feel free to DM me personally and I’ll get your journey started. Remember, our mission is a process, we grow and learn every day; figure out what our competitors are doing, identify the correct plays, and calculate the correct ways to attack each slate. Every slate is different and can be attacked in different ways. We also have great tools to work with like the domination station (optimizer), the research station, chalk boards, as well as tons of coaches readily available in our discord.
Now – onto hockey
Simple 5 gamer here with a few spots to pick on in my opinion. The Trade deadline is looming. so keep cognizant of that with the games approaching. We have already seen star players out of their team’s lineups for “trade related reasons”. Other than the 2 teams I will discuss, I also enjoy Kings stacks against the Sabres, as well as Wild stacks at home against the Panthers. The Panthers and Sabres have actual goaltending issues that could be exploited, and the Kings and Wild are both pushing for playoff contention.
Correlated Snipe #1
Filip Forsberg – Matt Duchene
If you want to include either Cody Glass or Roman Josi into these stacks, that is perfectly reasonable. Glass has been playing on the top line with Duchene and Forsberg, but has not been promoted to the first powerplay unit. Roman Josi is just the superstar defenseman that quarterbacks the top powerplay unit, and correlates well with Forsberg and Duchene in key situations. The Predators are at home against the crappy Coyotes. In fact, the Coyotes 2 best players are rumored to be out and potentially getting traded at literally any time before the game. Those players include Karel Vejmelka and Jakob Chychrun; IE their star goalie and top defenseman. The Predators could well be against a decimated Coyotes team, and at home.

Correlated Snipe #2
Elias Pettersson – Brock Boeser – Anthony Beauvillier
These 3 have been united since the Bo Horvat trade last week, and Beauvillier has done nothing but step right in and score goals. These 3 correlate on the powerplay as well, and are at home against the Red Wings, who love to concede goals. Brock Boeser has been in trade rumors, so keep that in mind, but with nothing imminent he appears like a safe bet to suit up tonight. I really don’t have much to add here other than they have the plus matchup, Beauvillier has fit right in, and Pettersson has had a career year. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

NHL Grinder Value Plays
Grinder #1
Jakob Pelletier – Rookie that has been on the 2nd line with Kadri and Huberdeau for a few games now. He scored in his last game, and that line looked very strong in their last game. Looking to heat up and build.
Grinder #2
JJ Moser – Moser was already on the first powerplay and penalty kill, but with Chychrun likely getting traded and Gostesbehere still out, Moser may have the puck on his stick a bit more. Cheap defense is a solid strategy.
Good luck, I hope you all come in 2nd. 😉
