Yahoo! DFS Cash Game Players for Week 13

Every week in Yahoo! DFS we look to target high floor players to hit the cash line in 50/50s, Double ups, and head to heads. Let’s identify the best cash plays as we look to hit the cash line again and find ways to leverage ownership in tournaments like the Yahoo! Baller.

Quarterbacks

Patrick Mahomes $38

Highest game total on the slate and a close spread so the competitive game environment favors a Mahomes high floor, high ceiling kind of game. Statsational projections have the Chiefs throwing for the most yards on Sunday and Mahomes is my favorite Cash game play.

Jalen Hurts $38

Jalen Hurts actually has the highest QB projection this week via DFS Army and with Tennessee being the 4th worst team against opposing WR’s, Hurts and his pass catchers are great plays as well this week. His 16+ rushing attempts in back-to-back weeks are the uptick we were looking for to increase his floor. I’ll have plenty of Hurts exposure in tournaments and he’s cash viable as well.

Justin Herbert $33

This game touts the 2nd highest game total on the slate, a close spread, and Herbert has looked much better with Keenan Allen back in the lineup. He’s thrown 5 touchdowns in the last 2 weeks and the Chargers look to stay hot with the 2nd highest passing projection this week.

Running Backs

Austin Ekeler $40

Las Vegas gives up 4 points above average to the running back position; Ekeler also averages about 20 touches per game which makes him an elite pay and he’s priced accordingly. I’m not sure I’ll pay $40 for a Running back this week but if you can find the salary relief, he’s a great cash option.

Nick Chubb $34

We know that Chubb is one of the best Running Backs in the league and this week he gets a Houston team that is worst against the run, giving up 6.98 points over average to the Running back position. He could easily put up 2-3 Touchdowns in this spot.

Josh Jacobs $32

The Chargers have a bottom 5 run Defense and Jacobs has been on an unreal terror this season. At his price and matchup, he’s the top play on the slate – assuming that his calf injury doesn’t keep him out of the lineup.

Kenneth Walker $29

The Rams are a good run defense but this week they lost Aaron Donald in the interior of the defense and this team has just been decimated by injuries. This sets up for a non-competitive game and a positive game script for Walker who has been the focal point of the offense.

Aaron Jones $25

The Bears’ Defense is horrible, and Rodgers is nursing a plethora of injuries. It’s hard to imagine a scenario where they don’t lean on the run with the Bears giving up 4.2 points above average to the Running Back position.

David Montgomery $20

The Packers are allowing the 2nd most rushing yards per game. With Fields dealing with a shoulder injury, they’re likely to lean on Montgomery more than usual and he’s already averaging 15.5 carries per game.

Dameon Pierce $19

One of the Top Fantasy points per dollar plays on the slate and the matchup supports the projection with his $19 salary, facing a Cleveland team that is giving up 6.75 points above average to the RB position.

**Injury Pending**

Samaje Perine $19

Mixon is still in concussion protocol, and we won’t know until this afternoon, but if your lineup construction has enough flexibility, Perine is great value at low ownership in a game with a high projected total.

Zonovan Knight $15

Carter left Sunday’s game with an ankle injury and Knight filled in with 14 carries for 69 yards and caught all 3 targets for 34 yards through the air. At $15, Knight would be the top value play on the slate at his price tag if Carter can’t go.

Winning Lineups

Wide Receivers

Davante Adams $31

Adams is averaging 13.75 targets per game over the past month. Even in a down game last week, he still put up 74 yards. The Raiders offense is really condensed to Jacobs and Adams, and this week they’ll probably need them both to keep pace with the chargers.

AJ Brown $28

Brown gets a matchup vs his old team that is giving up 6 points above average to the WR position. Brown isn’t quite getting enough targets per game for my taste to be a cash game play, but I love him in tournaments this week like the Yahoo Baller.

Amon-Ra. St. Brown $27

Amon-Ra is averaging 9.6 targets per game and gets a matchup vs Jacksonville’s defense that ranks bottom 10 in the league against defending the WR’s. This is the 2nd highest game total on the slate and projects as a back-and-forth contest.

Keenan Allen $22

The Chargers have the 2nd highest passing projection this week and much of that can be attributed to Allen’s return to the offense. The Raiders Defense ranks bottom 10 in the league vs opposing Wide Receivers and this one has shootout potential.

Christian Kirk $21

Detroit is a great matchup for opposing quarterbacks and wide receivers. Kirk didn’t get the touchdowns last week, but he’s still averaging 9.4 targets per game and has 3 touchdowns over the past 3 weeks – we want touchdowns on Yahoo and Kirk’s 24% target share provides several opportunities to score.

Garrett Wilson $18

Minnesota is an elite matchup for opposing Wide receivers and Wilson is too good for his price and usage – as evidenced last week with a 26% target share that he turned into 95 yards for 2 touchdowns with Mike White under center. The QB upgrade and matchup makes Wilson cash viable.

Nico Collins $15

Collins is one of the top fantasy points per dollar plays this week on the Domination Station with Cooks out.

Tight Ends

Travis Kelce $33

Kelce is the top pay up option per usual at Tight end. He has 5 touchdowns in the past 3 games and the game environment is what we want for Mahomes and Kelce. I’m not paying up in cash games, but you certainly need to have Kelce exposure in tournaments in case that game pops off and Kelce gets over 100 yards and 2+ touchdowns.

George Kittle $21

Miami is a good matchup for opposing tight ends and this game has the potential to shootout with a lot of firepower on both sides.

Tyler Higbee $15

Seattle is bottom 3 in the league against the tight end and Los Angeles is so banged up at WR that those pass catching targets need to go somewhere. Assuming rational coaching, Higbee figures to see an uptick in targets and already has 8 in back-to-back games. Higbee’s 19% target share is elite for Tight Ends.

Greg Dulcich $11

Dulcich is the Top Fantasy points per dollar play this week. I don’t like the cash play but the pay down option is there if you want to punt the position.

Defenses

Minnesota Vikings $15

Mike white had a great game last week, but the results might be a bit different against a team that can score a lot of points. Minnesota has a top 5 projection this week and is mid-priced for Defenses.

Cleveland Browns $14

Fantastic matchup this week vs Houston with Kyle Allen at QB.

Los Angeles Chargers $10

Minimum priced and the top fantasy points per dollar play this week via the Domination Station.

Top Yahoo! Stack of the Week

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce

Total Stacking Price: $71

Total Projected Points: 37.09

Total Projected Ownership:  27%

The Kansas City and Cincinatti game is the highest projected game total on the slate and certainly has shootout potential past the projected 52.5-point game total. Mahomes and Kelce, while pricey and chalky, provide as high of a ceiling as you can get. You can get different here via Juju, MVS, and Skyy Moore double stacks. We don’t know for sure if Chase will play yet, but he’s certainly in play in bring backs. This game has lots of stacking pieces and several ways to go with it – including Burrow stacks and chiefs as bring backs.

Top Yahoo! Leverage Plays

Justin Herbert at 3%

In a great matchup, this is entirely too low of ownership for Herbert this week.

Justin Fields at .91%

We have multiple ceiling performances from Fields this year and he’s below 1%. Get exposure to him!

Derrick Henry at 2%

Anytime you can play a stud at low ownership, (like Jacobs last week) you do it. Henry is the kind of player with a ceiling that you need at least minimum exposure to in tournaments. At 2%, I’d be way over the field.

Christian Mccaffrey at 6%

Hopefully the knee will keep ownership low on CMC, and we’ll get a stud at under 10% ownership in a game where they’ll need him to ride their studs to beat Miami.

Saquon Barkley at 4%

We’ve been waiting for a ceiling game from Barkley since he went for 30 in week 1, and maybe now that the field is tired of waiting, he’ll deliver in a tougher matchup. I want to play him when the field doesn’t.

Ja’Marr Chase at 7%

In this game environment at under 10% ownership, jam him in.  There are cheaper stacking options to pair with such as Hurst and bring backs on the Chiefs side.

Josh Palmer at 6%

Palmer is just 2 weeks removed from a 26-point performance against KC. The game this week against Las Vegas projects as high scoring and all the Chargers wide receivers are in play with their high projected passing total. Allen’s return is keeping Palmer ownership low, and I like that.

Juju at 5%

Juju has had some quiet games, a concussion, and now an illness. Recency bias may be to blame for his low projected ownership, but I’ll play him in Mahomes’ stacks if he remains low owned.

Drake London at 4%

The Steelers give up 7 points above average to the WR position. Drake London is cheap and projected as too low owned to not have some exposure to.

Christian Watson at 1%

Chicago’s defense has been terrible, and Watson has big play ability. He’s a great leverage play if Rodgers plays this week.
