New England Patriots and QB Mac Jones were caught in a potential shootout on Monday Night Football in Week 14, and then…it happened.
Jones screamed “F__K!!” on camera, on national television, and it was pretty darned obvious.

Not the First Time with Mac Jones
It’s now actually back-to-back games. Last week, on Thursday Night Football vs Buffalo, Jones was seen on the sideline screaming with what many speculate was in reaction to the New England Patriots offensive play calling.
The fiery NFL QB has been pretty clear when coming from behind the Patriots would be better served stretching the field with some deeper throws, but Matt Patricia keeps dialing up screen after screen instead. Things were bound to come to a head. And, now the cameras are laser-focused on a quarterback unafraid to pop off.

When Asked, Mac Jones Responds Honestly
“Obviously kind of let my emotions get to me,” Jones told reporters after Thursday’s game. “But we’re kind of playing from behind, what I said was about throwing it deeper than the short game… I felt like we needed chunk plays.”
Patricia doesn’t mind the fireworks; in fact, he loves seeing it. “This is a super passionate game. We love this game, we put a lot into it. We work hard, and care. We’re trying to win, so I love all of that,” Patricia said during a video conference Tuesday. “All of it is you care, you really care. Mac and I are … I know he wants to win and he’s doing everything he can just like we all are. So, that stuff’s great.”
Even Hall of Fame cornerback Ty Law essentially claimed it’s all much ado about nothing. “I love it. That’s what a leader is supposed to do,” Law said. “He’s supposed to step up. I think he’s doing the right thing. No one says anything when Tom Brady’s breaking tablets. [Has] he earned the right because he’s Tom Brady? Yes. But, as a quarterback you have to step up and show the team that you want it.”
What Now?
You might subscribe to the theory of where there’s smoke there’s fire, but for now, it seems the New England Patriots aren’t concerned from the players to coaches….to Hall of Fame former players.
But, don’t drop your guard, Mac. Every camera in New England is pointing at you now to read your lips…
