Philadephia 76ers @ Orlando Magic

Vegas Total: 213.5

Vegas Spread: Orl -2.5

We’ll kick off this slate with the Sixers who will be shorthanded and without Joel Embiid, James Harden, and Tyrese Maxey yet again. Montrezl Harrell continues to start in Embiid’s place, but Paul Reed has been the guy we’ve wanted for DFS purposes. They’re in the same price range and played similar minutes last time out, I think they do look pretty similar here as secondary options on a massive 13-game slate. De’Anthony Melton and Shake Milton will continue to run the backcourt and look like nice options in a great matchup. Milton is the one starter who isn’t quite priced up enough for their role with these guys off of the court. He has a 22.1% usage rate and 1.05 fantasy points per minute with these guys off of the court this season. Then Tobias Harris will look like a strong option as well, he looked great last season with Embiid out but is priced thru the nose right now considering his recent production. From the Magic, they should get Paolo Banchero back in this one while Wendell Carter Jr. comes in as questionable. Keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates on him, but I’m going to operate under the assumption that he’s good to go. We’ll also need to make sure Banchero isn’t limited at all as he’s been out for almost three weeks. We should see Mo Bamba and Chuma Okeke go back to the bench with Banchero and Carter Jr. back in there and would-be guys I’d fade at their current price tags. Then the rest of the team is priced up as if they’re shorthanded yet, so I think I’m just going to be underweight on the Magic here in a game that has an implied total of just 213.5.

5-star play: Shake Milton

4-star play: De’Anthony Melton, Paolo Banchero, Wendell Carter Jr.

 Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Paul Reed, Montrezl Harrell, Tobias Harris, Franz Wagner, Jalen Suggs, Paolo Banchero

Quick shoutout to VIP member “Cenzamatic” on a massive $20k win last season! Sometimes paying up for double studs works, and Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant brought it home for him with the help of some Stanley Johnson and Pistons value. Good work and congrats man!

Portland Trail Blazers @ New York Knicks

Vegas Total: 219.0

Vegas Spread: Nyk -4.5

Starting with the Blazers, they’ll be without Damian Lillard in this one which will open up a bunch of minutes and usage in that backcourt and on the team as a whole. Below is how this team has operated with him off of the court this season:

Shaedon Sharpe moved back to the bench due to inefficient production while Justise Winslow moved into the starting lineup. I love the price tag on Winslow if he’s going to get the minutes security of a starter and think he looks great here. Anfernee Simons is going to be my favorite option from the Blazers, he’s been extremely good when Dame sits and has at least 43 FanDuel points in two of his last three games and gets an elite matchup against this awful Knicks defense. Josh Hart and Jerami Grant are in a similar boat where they’ll play all the minutes in the world, but the price tag has certainly caught up with them… there will be more shots to go around with Dame out, however. Then Jusuf Nurkic makes plenty of sense as a tournament option as well. From the Knicks, Julius Randle had a nice bounce-back game last time out against the Thunder and makes sense again in this one as a secondary option. Jalen Brunson is starting to get to a point where I think he’s actually underpriced, he has at least 37 DraftKings points in four of his last five and looks great here. RJ Barrett has been all over the place this season and is a hard guy for me to trust, so he’ll be a tournament-only guy for me in this one. The same can be said for Immanuel Quickley, but I like the price tag quite a bit more for him. Then the frontcourt is one that I’ll just stay away from until they have something solidified.

5-star play: Anfernee Simons, Jalen Brunson

4-star play: Jerami Grant, Jusuf Nurkic, Justise Winslow, Julius Randle, RJ Barrett

Deeper Value: Justise Winslow

GPP Sleeper: Josh Hart, RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley

Sacramento Kings @ Boston Celtics

Vegas Total: 237.5

Vegas Spread: Bos -7.5

Starting with the Kings, Domantas Sabonis has been fine as of late but you would like more production at this price tag. We know the ceiling is there but it’s not hit all that consistently. I do like the matchup against this Boston frontcourt, however. De’Aaron Fox came crashing down to Earth last time out against the Hawks but is having the best season of his career with a 29.5% usage rate and 1.36 fantasy points per minute. Keegan Murray is about as volatile as they come… the minutes have been there but he’s been awful, I can’t get to him at this price tag on this slate. Malik Monk will be more of a tournament option with Murray back in, but he’s been in much better form and is coming off of a great game last time out. Then I have no issue with guys like Kevin Huerter or Harrison Barnes as a secondary option at their respective price tags. Both have been in good form over their last few games. From the Celtics, Jayson Tatum continues to be unreal, he has at least 53 DraftKings points in three of his last five, but that’s kind of what we need at his current price tag. That said, this is a nice pace-up game for Boston in a game with a massive implied total. Jaylen Brown, on the other hand, has at least 43 FanDuel points in two of his last three. He’s more of a tournament guy for me due to the scoring dependency, but it’s hard to argue with the production he’s been showing. Marcus Smart and Malcolm Brogdon have looked good as of late while Derrick White has seen his production come down with Brogdon back in the rotation. Lastly, Al Horford is a nice mid-range play in a great game environment for fantasy production.

5-star play: Jayson Tatum

4-star play: Domantas Sabonis, De’Aaron Fox, Kevin Huerter, Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Al Horford

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Malik Monk, Harrison Barnes, Malcolm Brogdon

Washington Wizards @ Miami Heat

Vegas Total: 212.0

Vegas Spread: Mia -3.0

Starting with the Wizards, Bradley Beal comes in as questionable after missing their last game. With the day off yesterday, I’m going to operate under the assumption that he’s a go here, but keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates as we get closer to lock. Beal hasn’t been bad lately, but his price tag is right where it should be, so he’s more of a secondary option than anything. Kristaps Porzingis is probably more of a tournament guy for me on a slate of this size at his current price tag. The same can be said for Kyle Kuzma, but it’s hard to ignore his production as of late with at least 45 DraftKings points in three of his last four games. Deni Avdija has been sneaky great as well with at least 32 DraftKings points in three of his last five games and is a guy I don’t mind again here. Will Barton had a great game last time out and played 29 minutes, he would be interesting if Beal were to sit again at a dirt cheap price tag… but I don’t think we can go there if Beal plays. We would need to keep an eye on Monte Morris as well, as he also comes in as questionable. From the Heat, I’m going to leave this one to Upperslad in our Breaking News Feed, as we need a ton of news from this team before we can really break them down. Jimmy Butler is out, while Bam Adebayo is probable, and Tyler Herro, Max Strus, and Gabe Vincent come in as questionable. When we get news on this team, we’ll have it broken down in the Domination Station and the VIP coaching channels.

5-star play: None

4-star play: Bradley Beal, Kristaps Porzingins, Kyle Kuzma, Bam Adebayo, Kyle Lowry

Deeper Value: Will Barton (if Beal is out)

GPP Sleeper: Will Barton (if Beal is out), Deni Avdija, MIA TBD

Chicago Bulls @ Oklahoma City Thunder

Vegas Total: 233.5

Vegas Spread: Chi -2.5

Starting with the Bulls, it’s normally a pretty quick overview for me on them because when the main three of their guys are all active and healthy, they’re hard to prioritize. That being said, the price tags on them are falling and I think they’re all in play against a bad defensive team. All three of DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Nikola Vucevic are coming off of solid games against the Bucks and will look great at their price tags. Outside of them, I don’t love the rest of the team, but I do think Andre Drummond will continue to be an interesting value option until his price tag comes up a bit. We know the ceiling is there for him in limited minutes and has more minutes potential if Vuc were to get into foul trouble at all. He’s just too cheap considering his 1.33 fantasy points per minute on the season. From the Thunder, Aleksej Pokusevsi returned to the lineup last time out and picked up right where he left off with a nice game against the Nuggets. I would have no issue going right back to him at this price tag assuming he continues to start. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continues to look great and will be a guy I like going right back to here, he’s been incredible this season with a 32.6% usage rate and 1.44 fantasy points per minute. Josh Giddey came down to Earth last time out but still has at least 40 DraftKings points in two of his last three games. Then, Lu Dort is always in play as a secondary option or a lineup filler, I wouldn’t have a problem with him in all formats.

5-star play: DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, Nikola Vucevic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

4-star play: Aleksej Pokusevski, Josh Giddey, Lu Dort

Deeper Value: Andre Drummond

GPP Sleeper: Andre Drummond, Aleksej Pokusevski, Lu Dort

New Orleans Pelicans @ Memphis Grizzlies

Vegas Total: 227.5

Vegas Spread: Mem -2.5

Starting with the Pelicans, they’ll be without CJ McCollum in this one again after he missed their last game. We saw Jose Alvarado start in his place last time out and looked great, he’s going to look like a strong value option again in this one. Below is how this team operates with McCollum off of the court this season:

These would be the main pieces I want to target from this team and I think they all look pretty great given their price tags. Graham will benefit from Alvarado moving into the starting unit, as he’ll now run that second unit and looked great last time out. Then Zion and Ingram have some incredible rates with McCollum out as you can tell from the above, both are elite options in this one. From the Grizzlies, they’ll continue to be without Desmond Bane and we’ve seen Ja Morant look great with him out as of late. He has at least 53 DraftKings points in three of his last four games and will be a guy I like going right back to here. The price tag on Dillon Brooks has come way up, I don’t think I want to pay that price for him on a massive slate. Jaren Jackson’s minutes are trending in the right direction and has looked great in his first few games, I would have no issues with him as a tournament option again here. John Konchar should start for Bane again here but is priced up right where he should be, I don’t see myself getting much, if any, of him in this one. Then Steven Adams looks like a fine secondary center option in the mid-range if you need one in your roster construction.

5-star play: Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram, Ja Morant

4-star play: Jose Alvarado, Devonte’ Graham, Jaren Jackson Jr., Steven Adams

Deeper Value: Jose Alvarado, Devonte’ Graham

GPP Sleeper: Larry Nance Jr., Jonas Valanciunas, Dillon Brooks, John Konchar

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Milwaukee Bucks

Vegas Total: 217.5

Vegas Spread: Mil -4.0

Starting with the Cavaliers, Donovan Mitchell has been extremely solid this season but did struggle in this matchup earlier this season. I don’t have a problem with getting to him here, but on a big slate, he’s more of a secondary option for me. The same thing can be said for Darius Garland who has a similar price tag to Mitchell. Garland did look better in this matchup earlier this season and both guys will benefit from usage opening up with Caris LeVert and Kevin Love being out. I do like the price tags on Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley, the Cavs will need their size against this big Milwaukee team and both have been in good form as of late. From the Bucks, Pat Connaughton returned last week but hasn’t played any real minutes to impact the rest of this team or to make himself an option in DFS, but worth noting that this team is starting to get healthy again. Giannis Antetokounmpo has at least 52 DraftKings points in three straight which sounds great, but at his price tag, it’s a little short of where we’d like to see him. That said, I do like going right back to him even in a tough matchup with Mobley and Allen down low. Jrue Holiday got his minutes up to 36 last time out which makes me think he won’t be limited moving forward and the price tag has come way down, I like going right back to him in this one. Bobby Portis will be more of a tournament option at this price tag as this team begins to get healthier, and the minutes will become more volatile. Then Brook Lopez has sneakily been one of the best all-around centers in the league this season, he has at least 34 DraftKings points in four straight games and makes sense in all formats on this slate.

5-star play: Jrue Holiday

4-star play: Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, Evan Mobley, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Brook Lopez

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, Bobby Portis, Grayson Allen

Brooklyn Nets @ Indiana Pacers

Vegas Total: 232.5

Vegas Spread: Bkn -2.5

Starting with the Nets, Kyrie Irving has returned and has been fine, but we’d like to see more production at this price tag. If there were ever a spot to get that production up though, it’s in this matchup against the Pacers’ defense. I have no issue going right back to him in this one, he dropped 53 DraftKings points on them earlier this season. Nic Claxton and Ben Simmons continue to start beside each other which sure up both of their minutes. It feels like Simmons is starting to gain some confidence and now has at least 35 DraftKings points in four straight games and is a great option again in this one. Kevin Durant has been fine as of late but with this team getting healthier and the rotation solidifying, I think he’s slightly overpriced even in a great matchup. Royce O’Neale will always be a guy I have no issue getting to if you land on him but not generally a guy that I’m going to prioritize. He has at least 31 DraftKings points in three straight games. Then guys like Seth Curry, Joe Harris, and Yuta Watanabe are all fine tournament dart throws. From the Pacers, Tyrese Haliburton has been incredible all season and will look good again here in a great matchup. Myles Turner continues to be great but the price tag has certainly caught up to his production, that said, he still has a ceiling at this price tag as we saw last time out against the Wolves. Buddy Hield hasn’t been good lately either, he’s been held under 30 DraftKings points in four straight and will be another guy I wait for to bounce back before going too crazy with. Then guys like Jalen Smith and Bennedict Mathurin will be fine options but I’d prefer them in tournaments due to the volatility.

5-star play: Kyrie Irving, Ben Simmons, Tyrese Haliburton

4-star play: Kevin Durant, Nicolas Claxton, Royce O’Neale, Myles Turner, Buddy Hield

Deeper Value: Seth Curry

GPP Sleeper: Kevin Durant, Seth Curry, Jalen Smith, Bennedict Mathurin

Atlanta Hawks @ Houston Rockets

Vegas Total: 232.5

Vegas Spread: Atl -7.5

Starting with the Hawks, Trae Young and Dejounte Murray get a great matchup again in this one after coming off a great one against the Kings last time out, I like going right back to both of them here in a game with a massive implied total. I do have a slight preference for Young, however. Murray has been held under 40 DraftKings points in five straight games while Young is coming off of a massive game last time out. Young leads the team with a 34.2% usage rate and 1.34 fantasy points per minute as well. Clint Capela has been good as well, the big issue for him will be minutes, when he sees the minutes, he’s generally productive but the minutes can be volatile… I do like the matchup quite a bit in a REVENGE GAME! John Collins will continue to be a tournament option, he’s the definition of boom or bust and I’m not sure we need to get to him on this slate. Then we can round this team out with De’Andre Hunter who missed their last game but should be good to go in this one. From the Rockets, Alperen Sengun is expected to miss this game while Bruno Fernando is likely to make his return. I would expect Fernando is somewhat limited which makes me like Tari Eason as a GPP dart. He played 23 minutes last time out and looked awesome. Kevin Porter Jr. has at least 50 DraftKings points in back-to-back games and looks great again in this one. Jalen Green has cooled off a bit but the production is still there, I have no issue going right back to the well with him as well. Jabari Smith looked solid last time out as well and the minutes have been more solid as of late, he’s a nice secondary option in a great matchup.

5-star play: Trae Young, Kevin Porter Jr.

4-star play: Dejounte Murray, Clint Capela, Jalen Green, Jabari Smith

Deeper Value: Tari Eason

GPP Sleeper: John Collins, De’Andre Hunter, Tari Eason, Jabari Smith

Winning Lineups DFS Army

Los Angeles Lakers @ San Antonio Spurs

Vegas Total: 232.0

Vegas Spread: Lal -3.5

Starting with the Lakers, LeBron James comes in as questionable and has been out for about 14+ days now, so it’s definitely news we need to keep an eye on. Assuming he plays and isn’t limited, I would have no issue going back to him here. Anthony Davis would take a hit in this case but has been incredible as of late with at least 56 DraftKings points in five straight games and does get a nice matchup. Davis has a 32.4% usage rate and 1.77 fantasy points per minute with James off of the court this season. Russell Westbrook would lose some usage as well and has been in good form. The price tag is starting to catch up with him, however. Dennis Schroder won’t be an option for me until he proves some consistent production even in a great matchup. Then guys like Lonnie Walker and Austin Reaves are fine secondary options but I can’t imagine I get much of them on a massive slate. From the Spurs, Jakob Poeltl returned last time out and was fine in just 26 minutes. I expect this game to be more competitive and looks like a solid option in all formats here. Keldon Johnson has been flat-out terrible as of late, he’s been held under 20 fantasy points in four of his last five and is probably a fade for me until he bounces back or the price tag comes down. Devin Vassell, on the other hand, continues to produce solid numbers each night, he’s a great secondary option in all formats. Tre Jones hasn’t been in the best form either, so he’d be more of a tournament option as well, but I do think the price tag is fair. Lastly, I don’t have an issue with Jeremy Sochan in tournaments as a cheap option, he’s fully capable of stuffing the stat sheet.

***Assuming LeBron James is OUT again ***

5-star play: Anthony Davis

4-star play: Russell Westbrook, Devin Vassell, Jakob Poeltl

Deeper Value: Jeremy Sochan

GPP Sleeper: Keldon Johnson, Tre Jones, Jeremy Sochan, Austin Reaves, Lonnie Walker, Russell Westbrook

Detroit Pistons @ Phoenix Suns

Vegas Total: 225.5

Vegas Spread: Pho -12.5

Starting with the Pistons, Cade Cunningham and Isaiah Stewart are going to be out for a while, so we can go ahead and just take them out of the player pool until further notice. They’ll also be without Saddiq Bey in this one. Not to mention, Killian Hayes and Jaden Ivey come in as questionable as well, but I’ll operate under the assumption that they’re good to go here. Marvin Bagley looked great last time out but is going to continue to be a GPP-only option until he can figure out how to get closer to 30 minutes… it’s just hard to trust him when he’s floating around the 22-minute range. Killian Hayes should continue to start for Cade as well and has looked good although the price tag is starting to catch up with his production. I do think Alec Burks is interesting in that price range as well, he has at least 25 DraftKings points in four straight. Jaden Ivey has struggled a bit with these guys off of the court and I’m about ready to jump off the bandwagon, he’ll be more of a GPP option for me just because there is meat on the bone for him to have a ceiling game at this price tag. Then we can round the team out with Bojan Bogdanovic who has at least 30 DraftKings points in seven of their last eight games. From the Suns, they’ll be without Chris Paul again in this one, below is how this team has operated with him off of the court this season;

These would be my favorite options from the team, I don’t have a ton of interest in guys like Torrey Craig although he’s been in solid form as of late with at least 28 FanDuel points in five straight. Booker has been held down over his last two games but is a guy I like going right back to in this one.

5-star play: Devin Booker

4-star play: Jaden Ivey, Jalen Duren, Marvin Bagley, Bojan Bogdanovic, Cameron Payne, Deandre Ayton, Mikal Bridges

Deeper Value: Jalen Duren

GPP Sleeper: Killian Hayes, Alec Burks, Marvin Bagley, Torrey Craig

Utah Jazz @ Golden State Warriors

Vegas Total: 240.0

Vegas Spread: Gsw -8.0

Starting with the Jazz, Lauri Markkanen came down to Earth last time out but does have at least 42 DraftKings points in three of his last four games, I have no issue going right back to him here. Jordan Clarkson bounced back nicely over his last couple of games and will get a nice boost with Conley out. Speaking of Mike Conley, he will miss this game which means we likely see Collin Sexton slide into the starting lineup for the third straight game. Sexton looked awesome last time out and saw 35 minutes, I’ll go right back to the well here, his price tag hasn’t come up enough. Malik Beasley has been incredible as well with at least 33 FanDuel points in three of his last four. Kelly Olynyk has been all over the place this season making him more of a GPP option, but we’ve seen a nice ceiling from him. The same can be said for Jarred Vanderbilt whose biggest enemy is his minutes, when he gets them up over 25, he’s going to look good. From the Warriors, Steph Curry continues to dominate and will look great here again. He now has a 30.6% usage rate and 1.59 fantasy points per minute on the season. Andrew Wiggins has been solid this season but is another guy I don’t think we need to prioritize, he would be more of a secondary GPP option for me and hasn’t been in the best of form over his last few games. Jordan Poole will go back to being a GPP-only guy for me as he continues to look for his production off of the bench. Draymond Green and Klay Thompson are fine options in their price range, but not priorities by any means, although both have been really good as of late. Then Kevon Looney will continue to look like a solid value center option if you need one in his range.

5-star play: Collin Sexton, Steph Curry

4-star play: Lauri Markkanen, Malik Beasley, Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson

Deeper Value: Kevon Looney

GPP Sleeper: Kelly Olynyk, Jarred Vanderbilt, Jordan Poole, Kevon Looney

Denver Nuggets @ Los Angeles Clippers

Vegas Total: 218.5

Vegas Spread: Den -3.5

Starting with the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic hasn’t been limited at all since missing a few games and will look great again in this one. He has at least 60 DraftKings points in back-to-back games and gets an elite matchup here. Jamal Murray wasn’t limited either but hasn’t been quite as good and feels like he’s priced right about where he should be, I don’t see myself getting a ton of him on a massive slate. Bruce Brown had a huge game last time out as well and will look good with Bones Hyland out again. Both Michael Porter Jr. and Aaron Gordon looked good last time out as well and are priced nicely here, I like them both as tournament pieces at the very least. From the Clippers, they’ll be without Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, and Luke Kennard in this one. I would imagine we see Terance Mann and Norman Powell slide into the starting lineup for George and Kawhi and would-be guys that look good at their price tags. Powell seems like he’s finally hitting his stride after starting the season off to a terrible start and would be a guy I go back to here. Mann is probably more of a tournament-value option. Below is how this team operates with Kawhi and George off of the court this season:

These would be my preferred options from the Clippers, and oh man does John Wall look really nice if he can get the minutes. It’s a big if, however, he’s been closer to the 25-minute range than anything but has been in great form, so I like going to him regardless here.

5-star play: Nikola Jokic, Bruce Brown, Norman Powell

4-star play: Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr., Aaron Gordon, Terance Mann, Marcus Morris, Reggie Jackson, John Wall

Deeper Value: Terance Mann

GPP Sleeper: Jamal Murray, Terance Mann, Ivica Zubac, Marcus Morris, John Wall

NBA Lock of the Day: Zion Williamson (DK – $8.2k; FD – $8.0k)

I love going to Zion in this one with CJ McCollum already ruled out. He had a great game last time out and has a 33.7% usage rate and 1.45 fantasy points per minute with McCollum off of the court and I love the matchup as well… he’s just too cheap here.
