Yahoo! Cash Game Players for Week 6

Last week we smashed in Cash by playing a combination of Allen, Kamara, Wilson, Diggs, & Lockett. Gabe Davis was the top Leverage play and he’s certainly in play again this week with Josh Allen. Let’s take a look at some of the plays to get you paid!

Quarterbacks

Josh Allen $41

You can lock in Josh Allen every week into your cash lineup until further notice. For that matter, you can lock him into tournament lineups too because nobody’s ceiling is higher with is running and passing ability as we saw last week when he was the one QB you found in every GPP winning lineup. This week we get a playoffs rematch with the Kansas City Chiefs and highest projected game total on the slate at 54 points. If this game goes anything like the last one that went off for 78 points, you’ll need Josh Allen or Mahomes to win in Cash this week.

Patrick Mahomes $34

Patrick’s floor is lower than Allen’s as he’s had 2 weeks when he averaged 18 points but his last 2 games, he’s thrown for 7 touchdowns and 1 interception. Allen’s Bills will push the pace and bring out the best in Mahomes so that we see more of 25+ point scoring from Mahomes that he averaged in the past 2 weeks. This is the highest projected game total on the slate and if you pay down to Mahomes, you can definitely afford to play Kelce and Diggs. I think the decision for me comes down to whether or not $15 Eno Benjamin gets the start, and I can then afford Allen, Diggs, and Kelce in my cash lineups.

Geno Smith $28

I never thought I’d see the time when Geno Smith is averaging 25 points per game, but he is, and he looks really good. What Geno has going for him from a fantasy standpoint, is his defense is horrible so they will be forced to throw the ball as they’re losing games due to their defense.  This week we have Kyler Murray coming into town and a projected game total of 51 points. This is certainly a game environment that I want to target in tournaments, but I think Geno is cash viable as well.

 Running Backs

Rhiamondre Stevenson $26

We already loved Rhiamondre before Damien’s injury but because of the time share, we didn’t really want to play him on Yahoo as touchdowns are important and Damien gets a lot of goal line carries. Now that Rhiamondre has the backfield to himself this week, we like that. He played 90% of the snaps last week and got 70% of the carries. He also has an 11% target share on the season so there are plentiful opportunities for him to have a big day.

Leonard Fournette $24

I faded Fournette in cash last week and it didn’t burn me based on my other RB plays that smashed. However, my reason for fading him was volume concerns and he followed up his 10 touches in week 4 with 24 touches in week 5, 139 yards, and 2 touchdowns.  He’s the 2nd highest projected back at DFS Army with a 16.69 projection and yet priced under $25. I probably won’t play him in Cash based on the other options but will have exposure to him in tournaments.

Jeff Wilson $19

He’s averaged 16.25 carries in the last 4 games, 5.5 yards per carry, and has a touchdown in back-to-back games. Next up he has a great matchup vs the Falcons’ team that is giving up 100 rushing yards per game to Running Backs. Wilson is the Domination Station’s 2nd ranked Fantasy Points Per Dollar back.

Kenneth Walker 111 $18

Scouting experts such as Matt Waldman had Kenneth Walker 111 as the best back in this class behind Breece Hall. He certainly showed why when he rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown on just 8 carries last week against New Orleans. Now Penny is out for the season, so this is Kenneth’s backfield. The matchup is a little tougher against Arizona’s good rush defense, but this game is projected to be high scoring so there will be plenty of opportunities to get into the endzone and we need that on Yahoo’s Half-PPR format.

Eno Benjamin $15

This play is contingent on James Conner missing week 6 but if he does, Eno Benjamin slides in as the top play on the slate at only $15. This value is too good to pass up as he had an every down role last week when Conner and Williams left the game. This week the Cardinals face a Seattle Defense that is giving up 130 rushing yards per game.

Winning lineups

Wide Receivers

Stefon Diggs $30

Gabe Davis had the huge week last week against Pittsburgh, but Stefon still scored 20 points on 100 yards and a touchdown and could’ve easily had a 30-point day if some other big play targets had connected. Diggs has a 26% target share on the season and sets up as the safest $30+ Wide Receiver option in a game vs the Chiefs that will probably shootout.

DK Metcalf $28

DK has a 28% target share on the season, he’s averaging 10 targets per game, 100 yards per game in his last 3 games, and he has 2 touchdowns in his last 3 games. We need Touchdowns on Yahoo, so DK is in play here in the 2nd highest projected game total on the main slate.

Deebo Samuel $24

He had a lot of drops last week but we can expect Deebo to clean that up against a poor Falcons secondary. Despite his drops, he still has scored in back-to-back weeks and is 4th in DFS Army Wide Receiver Projections this week with a 15.39 fantasy points projection.

Tyler Lockett $21

Lockett has a 26% target share on the season and about 95 receiving yards over the last 4 games. He scored twice last week and will have a great chance ot get into the endzone again at home in a game projected to be a back-and-forth affair, with a 51-point projected game total – the 2nd highest on the slate. Lockett projects as the 8th highest scoring receiver in Week 6 with only a $21 price tag.

Marquez-Valdes-Scantling $11

Kansas City really spreads the ball out after Kelce’s 23% target share, but MVS sees quite a few targets as he has a 17% target share on the season. Elite? Not by any stretch of the imagination but he’s only $11 and this game could go crazy, so I think he’s cash viable this week as he’s the top Fantasy Points per Dollar Play over at the Domination Station.

Tight Ends

Travis Kelce $27

4 touchdowns last week. Four. He’s the number one scoring tight end in the game and number 4 pass catcher. Honestly, he’s underpriced at $27 considering that Justin Jefferson has scored 2 more points than Kelce and is $37. I’m fitting Kelce into my Cash lineups this week as the number one scoring option for the KC offense in a game that could go nuclear.

Tyler Higbee $21

He’s playing 95% of the snaps and has a 25% target share on the season. The volume is elite, but he still hasn’t gotten into the endzone. He’s more of a tournament play for me this week on Yahoo but does have a 10-point projection at DFS Army so he either gets 100 receiving yards or he finds a way into the endzone – either way I’ll take it.

Hayden Hurst $11

DFS Army’s 2nd best Fantasy Points Per Dollar play this week at Tight End. (.58) I prefer pay down options at tight end as it’s such a variant position outside of Kelce and Andrews so this is my favorite pay down option this week as Hurst has found the endzone twice in the past two weeks. If you can get a low-priced tight end on Yahoo that scores touchdowns, you’re golden. Also, if Cameron Brate is out, we can go right back to Cade Otton this week who is only $10 and saw 7 targets from Brady last week.

DEF

Los Angeles Rams $13

The Rams Defense going against PJ Walker and they have the highest DEF Projection with 9.48 Fantasy Points. This seems like a great value play that could 3-4X their salary if PJ struggles.

New England Patriots $11

As we saw in week 5 when Belichick’s offense shutout the Lions, Belichick is always a tough out Defensively, so I like this matchup against Jacoby Brissett and the Browns this week.

Top Yahoo! Stack of the Week

Josh Allen & Stefon Diggs

Game Total: 54 Points

Team Total: 28.25 Points

Total Stack Price: $75 of $200

Total Projected Ownership: 34%

It’s a chalky stack but there are ways to get different in this game and you can do so by using a 6.69% owned CHE as the bring back or double stacking with a lower owned Gabe Davis – who scored 4 touchdowns the last time the Bills played the Chiefs. Khalil Shakir is in play as well as Mckenzie in Allen/Diggs Stacks.

Yahoo! Leverage Plays off the Chalk

Quarterbacks

Kyler Murray at 6.9%

If there was ever a better game with a potential of 30+ points, then this is it. The game vs. Seattle has a projected total of 51-points and the Cardinals 26.75 total is the 2nd highest on the slate behind Buffalo. Smash spot for Kyler at low ownership.

Lamar Jackson at 5.72%

On paper the matchup doesn’t look great, but Lamar has 40+ point potential and I’ll always play him in tournaments at low ownership with his upside.

Running Back

Dalvin Cook at 8.96%

He has the 7th highest RB projection on the slate and he’s projecting under 9% ownership after looking fantastic last week. Yes, I always want some Dalvin exposure in tournaments at low ownership.

Breece Hall at 7.32%

His usage has continued to climb as he saw 69% of the snaps last week, 54% of the carries, and he has a 14% target share to go with the rushing attempts. After a smash week, I’d go right back to Breece at low ownership.

CHE at 6.69%

His usage last week was very concerning. Even then, he fell short of the endzone twice and would’ve had a much bigger day. What if…. everyone is playing Kelce, Diggs, etc. and Clyde has a multiple touchdown game at low ownership? It’s the direct leverage you look for in those kind of game environments.

Wide Receivers

Gabe Davis at 7.63%

Something tells me that the Chiefs will have a plan in place for Davis this time around as he absolutely torched them in January for 200 yards and 4 touchdowns, but I’d be way over the field on him at this ownership.

Marquise Brown at 6.01%

Marquise has averaged 18 points over his last 3 games because he finds the endzone. He’s a leverage play in a game environment that I want exposure to.

Ja’Marr Chase at 5.53%

The Saints have given up over 175 passing yards per game to wide Receivers. His 28% target share is elite and with Higgins potentially out, he might see even more targets. We know how high his ceiling is, so I’ll take some shots in GPP’s with Chase at 5% ownership.

Mike Evans at 3.68%

I think Brady and Company can put it on the Steelers a bit much like the Bills did last week. Brady team stacks interest me this week and I want Evans as well as Godwin.
