5 plays under 5k on DraftKings Week 2

- Curtis Samuel $4,600 – Curtis Samuel had a big week 1 where he scored 20.2 DraftKings points. He had 11 targets which was a 26.8% target share, and he caught 8 of them for 55 yards and a TD. He also had 4 rushing attempts. The Commanders clearly want to get the ball in his hands and if he stays healthy this season I probably won’t have many other opportunities to put him in this article. This game has the 2nd highest total on the slate at 48.5 and there are a lot of cheap ways to stack it up. Samuel is my favorite play under $5k this week.

- Jacoby Meyers $4,400 – Jacoby Meyers lead the Patriots in targets (6) in week 1 with a 20% target share. He is a familiar target for Mac Jones and he saw 126 targets last season which included three games with 12 or more. At $4.4k, he is a safe cash game play that helps us pay up elsewhere and probably won’t burn us at that price. He also won’t have much ownership so he isn’t a terrible GPP play and maybe a cheap mini-stack option with someone else in this article.
- Greg Dortch $3,500 – Greg Dortch surprisingly led the Cardinals with 9 targets last week (23.7% target share) and he looks like the clear #2 WR with DeAndre Hopkins out. Dortch played on 90.8% of offensive snaps in week 1 which was 2nd most on the team behind Marquise Brown. He is the cheapest player that I am willing to roster at WR this week but he is in play in all formats. We have him projected as the top Fpts/$ play on the slate under $5k and this game has the highest total on the slate at 51.5. These first 3 players that I mentioned are our top 3 projected Fpts/$ plays at WR in week 2.
- Chase Claypool $4,700 – This one is more of a long shot, but I don’t hate Chase Claypool for GPPs. This game should go overlooked with its 40.5 total and we have Claypool projected under 4% ownership. He does have a QB issue which is why it’s a risky play, but he does have big play ability and he is playing in the slot this year and could get those quick dump-off passes. He did have 6 rush attempts last week so they want to get the ball in his hands and with Najee Harris possibly dealing with a foot injury, maybe we see more rushing usage for Claypool and other Steelers WRs.
- Zay Jones $4,300 – The Jaguars had 42 pass attempts last week and Zay Jones was 2nd on the team in targets and snaps played at WR. He caught 6 of his 9 targets for 65 yards and scored 12.5 DraftKings points. He also had 3 Red Zone targets which is good to see. This price tag looks good to me and he is a solid leverage play away from a more chalky Christian Kirk. I am fine playing Jones in all formats this week and he doesn’t have much competition at the position with only 3 Jaquars WRs getting looks in week 1.
