Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Mike aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!
Orlando Magic @ Charlotte Hornets
Vegas Total: 227.5
Vegas Spread: Cha -13.5
We’ll kick this slate kicked off with the Magic, they’ll be without Wendell Carter Jr., Franz Wagner, and Cole Anthony in this one. I would expect guys like Markelle Fultz, Ignas Brazdeikis, Chuma Okeke, and RJ Hampton are in consideration to start here in a great matchup with the Hornets. Mo Bamba looks to be a great option again here after dropping a 50 burger against the Cavs, he has a 19.5% usage rate and 1.21 fantasy points per minute with these guys off of the court this season. The minutes for Fultz continue to climb and he’s been in great form as of late, I can’t say I love the price tag considering his minutes’ ceiling is pretty capped, but it’s hard to argue with his production. Jalen Suggs returned last game to play 18 minutes and is probably a guy that I’ll avoid again here unless we get news that he won’t be limited moving forward. Then we can round this team with GPP options like Mo Wagner, Devin Cannady, and RJ Hampton for value purposes. From the Hornets, LaMelo Ball has been a lot better as of late with at least 43 FanDuel points in four of his last five games. The matchup is a lot better here than it was against Miami last time out and will be a guy I like going right back to in all formats. Miles Bridges has been a consistent fantasy producer all season long and with Gordon Hayward listed as doubtful, I would expect him to continue to look like a good option in a great matchup. The price tag has finally come down to a more playable range on Terry Rozier but hasn’t been in that 50 fantasy point range as often now that Ball has picked up his production and will be another GPP guy on this team. Then we can round this team out with PJ Washington as a GPP option as well, he’s been fairly consistent as of late and I love the matchup.
5-star play: Mo Bamba, LaMelo Ball
4-star play: Markelle Fultz, Chuma Okeke, Miles Bridges, Terry Rozier
Deeper Value: Ignas Brazdeikis, RJ Hampton, Devin Cannady
GPP Sleeper: Ignas Brazdeikis, RJ Hampton, Devin Cannady, PJ Washington, Terry Rozie
Quick shoutout to VIP member “Cenzamatic” on a massive $20k win on Tuesday night! Sometimes paying up for double studs works, and Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant brought it home for him with the help of some Stanley Johnson and Pistons value. Good work and congrats man!
Boston Celtics @ Milwaukee Bucks
Vegas Total: 227.0
Vegas Spread: Mil -5.5
Starting with the Celtics, I would expect Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Al Horford will all be good to go in this one even on the back end of a back-to-back here. These two teams are just playing for seeding right now but still a good test to get ready for the playoffs. Tatum is averaging 53.8 DraftKings points per game in three games against the Bucks his season and will be a guy I have no issue going back to in all formats. Brown kept it rolling again last night and now has at least 50 DraftKings points in three of his last four games and has the skill-set that can perform well against this Bucks defense. Then Marcus Smart and Derrick White will be more of GPP options than anything with these guys all healthy. If I’m playing one of them it would be Smart due to the minutes’ security, with that said. Al Horford will continue to be a guy that will look good as well with Robert Williams still out for Boston. It’s worth noting that Daniel Theis has now started in two of their last three games and has seen good minutes in those two games. I don’t have an issue getting to him as a mid-range center option to round out this team. From the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo had a tough DFS game last time out as they blew out the Bulls, but would be a guy I have no issue going right back to as a spend-up option on this slate. Jrue Holiday has been in great form as of late as well, but probably more of a secondary option at this price tag, he has at least 40 DraftKings points in six straight games showing off his consistency a bit. The same can be said for Khris Middleton, I have no issue getting to them, but their ceilings are somewhat capped as long as Giannis is out there and active. Brook Lopez had his best game since returning from injury last time out with 28 real-life points. The minutes should stick in that 25-30 range and is a guy I don’t mind as a secondary center option. Then we can leave guys like Bobby Portis and Pat Connaughton as GPP options with Grayson Allen doubtful for tonight’s game.
5-star play: Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Giannis Antetokounmpo
4-star play: Al Horford, Marcus Smart, Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Marcus Smart, Derrick White, Daniel Theis, Brook Lopez, Bobby Portis, Pat Connaughton
Philadelphia 76ers @ Toronto Raptors
Vegas Total: 217.5
Vegas Spread: Tor -2.0
Starting with the Sixers, Joel Embiid will look to keep fighting in that MVP race and has been in great form as of late. He has at least 61 FanDuel points in three of his last four games and is a nice spend-up option here. James Harden will continue to be a tournament option for me due to the volatility he’s shown relative to his price tag. The implied total isn’t one that I love here either, as it’s pretty easily the lowest on the slate. Tobias Harris has actually been in fairly good form as of late, but both he and Tyrese Maxey would be more of secondary GPP options than anything on this slate. I will give Maxey a quick shoutout for his 50 burger last time out against the Pacers. From the Raptors, Pascal Siakam has been in great form as of late and hasn’t shied away from this matchup either. He’s averaging 48.3 DraftKings points per game in two games against the Sixers this season. Fred VanVleet had a below-average game last time out and just shot poorly, 19% on 21 shots to be exact. I don’t expect that he’ll shoot that bad again here and is a solid option in all formats. I’ll have no issue with Scottie Barnes as well, he should continue to play big minutes as well. The price tag is starting to come back down to a more playable range as this team begins to get healthier. OG Anunoby seems to have found his footing and has gotten his minutes back. I like the price tag on him and will look like a nice mid-range option assuming he plays as he comes in as questionable after missing their last game. Gary Trent Jr. was a guy I landed on quite a bit last time out but he just hasn’t been in great form and is a bit too scoring dependant for me, so I’ll leave him for tournaments. Lastly, Precious Achiuwa is a fine GPP guy as well, the minutes have been volatile, but he’s been good on a per-minute basis and they’ll need his size against Embiid and company down low.
5-star play: Joel Embiid, Pascal Siakam
4-star play: James Harden, Fred VanVleet, Scottie Barnes, OG Anunoby
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Tobias Harris, Tyrese Maxey, Gary Trent Jr., Precious Achiuwa
San Antonio Spurs @ Minnesota Timberwolves
Vegas Total: 237.5
Vegas Spread: Min -8.0
Starting with the Spurs, they’ll be without Dejounte Murray again in this one meaning we can go right back to the well on Tre Jones who will receive the start in his place. Jones has started the past three games and has at least 34 FanDuel points in each of them. The price has come up on him a bit but still looks like a great option in a nice matchup with the Wolves. Below is how the rest of this team operates with Murray off of the court this season (and Derrick White):
- Tre Jones – 15.3% usage rate; 0.94 fpm
- Keldon Johnson – 25.8% usage rate; 1.10 fpm
- Devin Vassell – 20.1% usage rate; 0.96 fpm
- Jakob Poeltl – 19.6% usage rate; 1.13 fpm
These would be my favorite options from the Spurs with guys like Lonnie Walker and Josh Richardson being more of MME-type plays due to the volatility they can show. I do want to note that Zach Collins has at least 27 DraftKings points in three straight and can be a really productive producer if the minutes are there, which they have been and will look like a solid option here. From the Wolves, Karl-Anthony Towns will look like an elite option here as he’s averaging 70.6 DraftKings points per game in two games against the Spurs on the season. Anthony Edwards and D’Angelo Russell will be guys I go back to as well as I continue to target opposing guards against this Spurs team. If you want to go to Patrick Beverley here I won’t talk you off of him, but I have a feeling we’ll be able to find guys with higher ceilings than him on this slate. He’s been pretty good relative to his price tag on the season and will be fine for cash games with that said, he also comes into this one as questionable so keep an eye on that.
5-star play: Tre Jones, Karl-Anthony Towns
4-star play: Keldon Johnson, Jakob Poeltl, Zach Collins, D’Angelo Russell, Anthony Edwards, Patrick Beverley
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Zach Collins, Devin Vassell, Josh Richardson, Jarred Vanderbilt

Portland Trailblazers @ New Orleans Pelicans
Vegas Total: 223.5
Vegas Spread: Nop -16.5
Starting with the Blazers, Brandon Williams comes into this game as questionable after missing Tuesday’s game, so keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed for updates surrounding him. If he plays, he’ll look like a solid option at this price tag. If he sits, we’ll see Kris Dunn get the start again and is a guy that I think will look solid whether he starts or comes off of the bench. Drew Eubanks will look like a nice option here as well, he’s cooled off a bit as of late, but they’ll need his size for the rest of the season. CJ Elleby and Keon Johnson will look like solid secondary pieces as well, Johnson has proved me wrong as of late and has produced nicely with at least 32 DraftKings points in three of his last five games. Greg Brown should continue to start and play good minutes with Trendon Watford out and will look like a solid value option again here. From the Pelicans, Jonas Valanciunas comes into this one as questionable after missing their last game, so keep an eye on his status but will look like a great option if he’s good to go here against Eubanks down low. CJ McCollum and Brandon Ingram will look like nice secondary options here in a great matchup with a Blazers team that hasn’t been able to stop anyone this season. It’s worth noting that McCollum gets a revenge game here (is it still revenge if they did him a favor?), he scored 34.25 DraftKings points in this spot a few games ago. Then guys like Jaxson Hayes and Herb Jones are more filler pieces than anything on a big slate, but I highly doubt I get anywhere near them. They would both see a boost if Joe Val ends up sitting, however.
5-star play: None
4-star play: Brandon Williams, Kris Dunn, Keon Johnson, Greg Brown, Jonas Valanciuans, CJ McCollum, Brandon Ingram
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: Kris Dunn, CJ Elleby, Jaxson Hayes, Herb Jones, Larry Nance Jr.
Memphis Grizzlies @ Denver Nuggets
Vegas Total: 232.5
Vegas Spread: Den -3.0
Starting with the Grizzlies, I will operate under the assumption that Ja Morant and Dillon Brooks are both out again here, they don’t have any reason to push them before the playoffs start. Below is how this team operates with these two off of the court this season:
- Tyus Jones – 19.4% usage rate; 1.03 fpm
- Desmond Bane – 26.5% usage rate; 1.17 fpm
- Jaren Jackson – 32.4% usage rate; 1.3 fpm
- De’Anthony Melton – 24.4% usage rate; 1.20 fpm
These are my favorite options from Memphis tonight and holy man look at the production from Jackson with these usage monsters off of the court. I want to really like him here however, we know he can be handsy and against a big team like the Nuggets it does worry me… that said, the numbers will look great on him. Denver, very similar to their last matchup with Utah, can struggle to guard opposing wings as well setting up nicely for Bane here too. From the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic kept it rolling last time out and now has at least 70 DraftKings points in six straight games and is averaging 59.9 DraftKings points in three games against the Grizzlies this season. Guys like Aaron Gordon and Will Barton will be solid secondary options and both have been in good form as of late. The same can be said for Monte Morris and Bones Hyland even though they’re both coming off of rough games last time out against the Spurs in a blowout loss.
5-star play: Jaren Jackson, Desmond Bane, Tyus Jones, Nikola Jokic
4-star play: De’Anthony Melton, Aaron Gordon, Will Barton
Deeper Value: None
GPP Sleeper: De’Anthony Melton, Monte Morris, Bones Hyland

Los Angeles Lakers @ Golden State Warriors
Vegas Total: 221.5
Vegas Spread: GSW -12.5
Starting with the Lakers, we’ll need some news from them in this one before we can really dig into this team. They’ve been eliminated from playoff contention, so it wouldn’t shock me to see LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook sit down for the rest of the season. They all come in as questionable here, so I’ll leave this breakdown for the Breaking News Feed when we get that news. From the Warriors, they’ll continue to be without Steph Curry again here and likely will be until the playoffs begin. Below is how this team has operated over the past two weeks with him off of the court:
- Jordan Poole – 32.3% usage rate; 1.27 fpm
- Klay Thompson – 30.1% usage rate; 1.10 fpm
- Andrew Wiggins – 23.8% usage rate; 0.92 fpm
- Draymond Green – 15.1% usage rate; 1.02 fpm
These would be my favorite options from Golden State and it will be an elite option regardless of who starts for the Lakers, they haven’t played defense all season long. Poole and Thompson probably give you the highest upside, but all of these guys will be in play to round out this slate.
5-star play: Lakers TBD, Jordan Poole
4-star play: Lakers TBD, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins
Deeper Value: Lakers TBD
GPP Sleeper: Lakers TBD, Otto Porter Jr., Jonathan Kuminga, Nemanja Bjelica
NBA Lock of the Day: Mo Bamba (DK – $6.9k; FD – $6.4k)
We’re going to go all the way back up to that first game on the slate and get us a little Mo Bamba. The Magic will be without Wendell Carter Jr., Cole Anthony, and Franz Wagner here, and with these guys off of the court this season Bamba has a 19.5% usage rate and 1.21 fantasy points per minute. The matchup is great against this Hornets frontcourt as well. At this point in the day, I would think he makes my core, but check out our VIP Cheat Sheets as we get closer to lock for staff picks on Core plays, 8x locks of the day, and tiers notes as well!
