Atlanta Hawks @ Detroit Pistons
Vegas Total: 227.5
Vegas Spread: Atl -8
Starting with the Hawks, Trae Young is gonna be the premier play on this team, he has a phenomenal matchup as the Pistons are allowing a ton of FPs to opposing PGs over the past 2 weeks. John Collins is likely going to be out here again, that makes Danilo Gallinari a decent play here as he has been starting in his place, but I’d really want De’Andre Hunter to be out as well before I get too high on him. Hunter is also in play for his price but he’s been pretty underwhelming since his return. Bogdan Bogdanovic has been running the 2nd unit as well and he’s a solid play here, along with Kevin Huerter who is hanging onto that 2 guard role but not doing much with it. Lastly, Clint Capela is really solid here, but he draws a great matchup here as the Pistons are not a good defensive team and if Collins is out his usage will stay way up.
Now for the Pistons, Cade Cunningham is still too cheap on both sites here, but he does have a lot of volatility so you have to factor that in, but he also has GPP winning upside for sure in this matchup as Trae plays 0 defense. Cory Joseph and Killian Hayes both split minutes at the 2, but as long as both are healthy I prefer Joseph for value here as he is the more consistent one and he usually closes out games. Saddiq Bey has slate breaking potential at low ownership here if he gets hot from 3 early as well, but his usage takes a hit with Cade and Grant both healthy here. Kelly Olynyk can pop off from time to time as well and this could be a matchup in which he does so. Jerami Grant is priced nicely on both sites as well, he has nice upside as FanDuel refuses to raise his price and he has 40+ upside, but I wouldn’t pair him and Cunningham in the same lineup. Lastly, if you’re looking to get really deep, Isaiah Stewart has seem most of the minutes at the 5 with Lyles now in Sacramento.
5-star play: Trae Young, Cade Cunningham
4-star play: Clint Capela, Saddiq Bey, Jerami Grant, Bogdan Bogdanovic
Deeper Value: Cory Joseph, Killian Hayes, Kelly Olynyk, De’Andre Hunter, Kevin Huerter
GPP Sleeper: Jerami Grant
Chicago Bulls @ Philadelphia 76ers
Vegas Total: 229.5
Vegas Spread: Phi -6.5
Starting with the Bulls, this is going to be a big test for them as Philly is starting to establish their dominance in the east. Zach LaVine has been playing very well, and he’s decently cheap on both sites given his upside with Ball out. Nikola Vucevic and DeMar Derozan will be in for huge usage although this isn’t a great matchup for the Bulls, but both are solid options in GPPs with their upside. Ayo Dosunmu is also in play here as he’ll start at the PG and he’s great at getting his teammates involved. Coby White is also in play as he is seeing nearly 30 minutes off the bench and running their second unit. He could feast here with the 2nd unit and the Bulls have even been starting Tristan Thompson at the 4, he saw 20 minutes last game and has a solid FPPM background, but I could see him moving back to the bench here as they’ll want someone more athletic on Harris.
Now for the 76ers, the obvious top play here is going to be Joel Embiid, as this is a statement game that the 76ers will want to win at home, and they want to stop any thoughts of this Bulls team making a run late in the year. James Harden should also be back here, he is a great play at his price as him and Embiid really seem like they can co-exist here. Tobias Harris is always safe for cash games, but he is priced up to right around 5x value which doesn’t do a lot these days for GPP play. Tyrese Maxey has also been on fire lately, but with Harden healthy it really takes away from his uspide. Matisse Thybulle is viable on FanDuel at his price, but he never really crushes it outside of secondary stats, you’d need like a 4 block, 4 steal performance for him to really pay off. That’s about all I’m interested in from this Philly team.
5-star play: Joel Embiid, James Harden
4-star play: Zach LaVine, Nikola Vucevic, DeMar Derozan, Ayo Dosunmu, Tobias Harris
Deeper Value: Matisse Thybulle, Tristan Thompson, Furkan Korkmaz, Coby White
GPP Sleeper: None

Houston Rockets @ Miami Heat
Vegas Total: TBD
Vegas Spread: TBD
Starting with the Rockets, Christian Wood is going to be their main source of offense here, as him and the rest of this Rockets team are coming off of a solid win last night. Kevin Porter Jr. had himself a game as well, but the matchup is much more difficult for him tonight. Dennis Schroder being out again tonight would help him big time, so keep an eye on news there. Jalen Green is a guy who has insane upside as well, and he is also coming off a monster game last night, but the price is starting to creep up a bit. Jae’Sean Tate is also pretty rock solid here tonight and he’s decently cheap, but he really needs Wood to be out for him to really go nuts as we’ve seen in the past. Lastly, Eric Gordon is a deeper MME type play as well as he is very scoring dependent but can get hot from time to time.
Now for the Heat, Jimmy Butler has a really great matchup here, as we know that the Rockets play 0 defense and he’ll be able to get whatever he wants tonight. Kyle Lowry is also out again tonight so we should see Point Jimmy once again here. Bam Adebayo has been back as well and he’s been great, he draws the best matchup on this team as the Rockets were allowing 70 FPPG to opposing bigs over their last 7 and Steven Adams dropped 55 on them last night. PJ Tucker is a deep flier you can take as well in this matchup but not someone I’m ever seeking out unless we get more news from guys being out on this Heat team. Tyler Herro is also in play here, because if this game gets ugly he could go nuts off the bench in a blowout situation. Lastly, Gabe Vincent has been starting with Lowry out, and he’s moderately priced on both sites again here tonight as well.
5-star play: Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, Christian Wood
4-star play: Kevin Porter, Jalen Green, Tyler Herro, Gabe Vincent
Deeper Value: PJ Tucker, Jae’Sean Tate, Eric Gordon, Jalen Green
GPP Sleeper: Jalen Green
Portland Trailblazers @ Minnesota Timberwolves
Vegas Total: TBD
Vegas Spread: TBD
Starting with the Blazers, they are an absolute mess to figure out right now, as a ton of guys are out here. Anfernee Simons, Justise Winslow, Damian Lillard, Jusuf Nurkic, and Eric Bledsoe are all already out here, and you have Elijah Hughes and Greg Brown both as probable, if both of them play I have a lot of interest in both of them for value, especially Hughes. Drew Eubanks also draws a stellar matchup here going up against KAT, and they’ll need his offense here tonight. With Simons out, I’m thinking Brandon Williams or Keon Johnson will start at PG, both have nice upside as they’re dirt cheap. CJ Elleby is also in play here as he should see big minutes, and even Kurt Blevins and Trendon Watford should be in line for huge minutes as well. Lots of uncertainty with this Blazers team right now.
Now for the Wolves, Karl-Anthony Towns has a great matchup here as the Blazers don’t have enough bodies that can physically stop him here tonight. D’Angelo Russell is also a great play here, as I’m expecting Edwards will be out again tonight as they have no reason to rush him back as they’re basically playing a G-League team. Patrick Beverley has been nursing an injury, but he is in play as well if he starts here, he did miss last game though so keep an eye out there. Jarred Vanderbilt is also playing big minutes as well, but he’s a low usage guy in this offense, but this Blazers team is allowing tons of FPs to opposing 4s. If Edwards and Beverley miss again, I’d expect Malik Beasley to draw the start again as well and all he has to do is not get ejected this time to smash value.
5-star play: Karl-Anthony Towns, D’Angelo Russell
4-star play: Elijah Hughes, Drew Eubanks, Keon Johnson, CJ Elleby, D’Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt
Deeper Value: Brandon Williams, Kurt Blevins, Greg Brown, Kurt Blevins, Malik Beasley
GPP Sleeper: Whoever the Blazers start
Utah Jazz @ Dallas Mavericks
Vegas Total: 217.5
Vegas Spread: Dal -1.5
Starting with the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell is gonna be the best play here, but I won’t have much exposure to this game as it should be ugly and low scoring. Mike Conley is in a solid GPP spot here, but he missed last night so that is something to keep an eye on, I think it was just them resting him on the 1st half of a B2B though. If you’re looking to get really deep here, Royce O’Neale and Bojan Bogdanovic are decent options as well, Bojan is coming off a big scoring night last night but that was with Conley out so his ceiling really depends on injury news. Lastly, Rudy Gobert will be a solid option here as he is coming off a string of monster games and the Mavs are mediocre against bigs. If Conley misses again then I’ll have some interest in both Jordan Clarkson and Trent Forrest for value again as well.
Now for the Mavericks, the big news here obviously comes down to Luka Doncic, as he is a GTD right now, if he is out it opens up a world of possibilities for this Mavs team. Jalen Brunson has become a very solid play as well with all these guys gone, he would likely be a core play for me tonight if Luka were to miss. Reggie Bullock has also been playing big minutes with Hardaway out and he is a decent value here. Outside of those guys I won’t really be targeting any of the Mavs as they aren’t a very friendly fantasy team. But if you want to get really deep, Maxi Kleber should split minutes at the 5 with Dwight Powell, both would see some usage upgrades if Luka is out. Lastly, Spencer Dinwiddie would also likely start at PG again if Luka misses, he’d be a premier play if that is the case again here tonight.
5-star play: Donovan Mitchell, Luka Doncic (if in), Jalen Brunson (if Doncic out)
4-star play: Mike Conley, Rudy Gobert, Spencer Dinwiddie
Deeper Value: Dwight Powell, Maxi Kleber, Reggie Bullock, Trent Forrest, Jordan Clarkson
GPP Sleeper: Bojan Bogdanovic
Los Angeles Lakers @ San Antonio Spurs
Vegas Total: 233
Vegas Spread: Sas -2.5
Now for the Lakers, the obvious play here will be LeBron James as AD is going to continue to be out here and he really does everything for this Lakers team, he’s going to need to continue these big performance if he wants to get the Lakers back on track. Russell Westbrook is also cheap on both sites here tonight, but as we all know he is having the worst year of his career here so he’s strictly GPP only here tonight. Dwight Howard is in play for GPPs as well but his minutes have taken a nose dive even with AD out. Austin Reaves has also been starting and playing solid minutes, he’s cheap on both sites as well but he isn’t a high usage guy here. Lastly, Malik Monk has also been solid and has nice upside here even with all these guards healthy for the Lakers. If you’re looking to get really deep, I’d have some interest in Stanley Johnson but only if he starts and that’s in GPPs only.
Now for the Spurs, Dejounte Murray is a premier play in all formats as he is coming off another huge performance and the Lakers are a bottom 5 defense against PGs this year. Devin Vassell is also carving out a nice role and he is a guy you can take a few shots on in GPPs but I don’t love his matchup here tonight. Keldon Johnson has also been quietly playing really well, and he should be low owned in GPPs here tonight and his production has picked up as of late for sure. Jakob Poeltl is also coming off a monster game and he draws a solid matchup here as the Lakers are terrible without AD against bigs. Lastly, if you’re looking to get really deep, Lonnie Walker and Joshua Primo should be see some solid minutes, they are MME type plays though.
5-star play: Dejounte Murray, LeBron James
4-star play: Russell Westbrook, Malik Monk, Keldon Johnson, Jakob Poeltl, Devin Vassell
Deeper Value: Lonnie Walker, Austin Reaves, Stanley Johnson, Talen Horton-Tucker
GPP Sleeper: Malik Monk
Golden State Warriors @ Denver Nuggets
Vegas Total: TBD
Vegas Spread: TBD
Starting with the Warriors, it looks like Draymond will be out again here, but Steph Curry could be a slate breaker here, as the Nuggets will come into this one tired and the Warriors need a win here after dropping 4 of their last 5. Otto Porter will likely start at the 4 here, he’s been solid and is cheap on both sites with Draymond out, DEN has struggled against 4s all year long as well. It looks like Klay Thompson will be in here, I like his price on FanDuel for the upside that he has. Andrew Wiggins is playable in GPPs here tonight but you know what you are getting there. Kevon Looney should also see big minutes here as the Warriors are really hurting for bodies in their frontcourt and they need someone to stop Jokic. If you’re looking to get really deep, Jonathan Kuminga should see around 30 minutes off the bench here. UPDATE: Klay, Steph, and Wiggins are all OUT TONIGHT. This makes Jordan Poole a premier play here tonight along with Moses Moody and Damion Lee as solid values.
Now for the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic is coming off of a string of monster games and there’s no reason that he can’t repeat that in this matchup, he is coming off a 90 FP performance from last night so it is hard to ever fade a guy like him. Will Barton also had a big first half and draws a good matchup here and the Nuggets are still hurting at guard with all the injuries, but he disappointed last night but should bounce back in this one. Bryn Forbes’ role is continuing to increase as well, he is a solid value play here especially with the Nuggets coming in on the 2nd half of a B2B and going to OT last night. Monte Morris is super inconsistent but has had some solid games from time to time, him and Bones Hyland are splitting the PG duties and Bones has some decent upside in GPPs as he can get hot. Aaron Gordon‘s ceiling is gonna be capped as long as Jokic is healthy so he’ll be GPP only again here tonight as well.
5-star play: Nikola Jokic, Jordan Poole
4-star play: Otto Porter, Will Barton, Aaron Gordon, Kevon Looney
Deeper Value: Monte Morris, Bones Hyland, Moses Moody, Damion LJonathan Kuminga
GPP Sleeper: Otto Porter
New York Knicks @ Sacramento Kings
Vegas Total: 229.5
Vegas Spread: Sac -3.5
Starting with the Knicks, they continue their west coast road trip here tonight in Sacramento. Julius Randle has a decent matchup here and he’s been playing better as of late, he should be able to get whatever he wants against this SAC team as they’ve struggled against bigs all year but they have been better since they got Sabonis. Mitchell Robinson should get all the minutes here as well, as Noel is already out and Gibson is a GTD here as well. RJ Barrett has been on fire as well but he is priced up as well here but I like the pace of this game for him. Evan Fournier is still playing big minutes as well and he’s decently cheap. If you’re looking to get deeper, Immanuel Quickley and Alec Burks would also be viable with Kemba Walker not in the rotation and Quentin Grimes likely out again.
Now for the Kings, De’Aaron Fox is gonna be a premier play here, as this Kings team has really shaken up their guard rotation so that he can get heavy minutes now and this Knicks. Davion Mitchell should also start at the 2 and he’s been solid but the price is coming up but the matchup is solid for him. Harrison Barnes’ production has ticked upward, he draws a solid matchup here tonight for sure. Domantas Sabonis is gonna be a big usage guy here as well, but he draws a tougher matchup going up against MitchRob though. Justin Holiday is also starting at the 4 for the Kings, he is a decent value and if you’re looking to get really deep, Donte DiVincenzo should see 20+ minutes off the bench here as well and may even start over Mitchell, he’s a great GPP value play.
5-star play: Julius Randle, De’Aaron Fox
4-star play: Domantas Sabonis, Mitchell Robinson, RJ Barrett, Alec Burks, Harrison Barnes
Deeper Value: Donte DiVincenzo, Davion Mitchell, Immanuel Quickley
GPP Sleeper: Donte DiVincenzo, Immanuel Quickley
